In this paper, the design of a flutter suppression control law, for the NASA Benchmark Active Control Technology wing, is proposed through a single input-single output controller and unsteady aerodynamics is modelled using the Theodorsen's theory. International audience; A new mechanism for producing negative ions in low density and low power hydrogen plasmas was proposed recently. It refers to anion formation due to collisions between hydrogen atoms being in the first excited state. The proposed mechanism was indirectly supported by the quadratic relation observed between the extracted negative ion current and Lyman-α radiation of a filament-driven arc discharge, when borrowed data from the literature were combined. The present work provides experimental data comparing directly the absolute negative ion density and Lyman-α radiation in an ECR-driven hydrogen plasma source. The heating of buildings by ecologically clean and compact local devices is an interesting and actual problem. One of the modern areas of applications developed during last ten years is an effective usage of electrical energy by alternating current to produce heat energy. This work presents the mathematical model of one of such devices. It is a finite cylinder with viscous incompressible liquid and with metal electrodes of the form of bars placed parallel to the cylinder axis in the liquid. Abstract In this paper we present a short overview of the application of small angle neutron scattering (SANS) to micellar fluids. In the first part of the paper a general expression of the scattering equation is derived, with particular emphasis on the approximations involved and on their practical consequences. In the second part of the paper we present six selected test cases (such as mono- and polydisperse fluids, critical fluids, shapes other than spherical, etc.) taken from our own work, to demonstrate the kind of analysis performed in each case to extract the information from SANS data.

Abstract A mathematical model of binary (competitive adsorption involving two components) perfusion chromatography is used to simulate and study the behavior of a binary adsorption system. The dynamic behavior of column systems (frontal analysis) is examined for different particles sizes, column fluid superficial velocities, Vf, and intraparticle fluid velocities, νp. Column systems with perfusive (νp > 0) and purely diffusive (νp = 0) adsorbent particles are studied.
