Intracellular fluoride influences TASK mediated currents in human T cells.

The expression of Kv1.3 and KCa channels in human T cells is essential for maintaining cell activation, proliferation and migration during an inflammatory response. Recently, an additional residual current, sensitive to anandamide and A293, compounds specifically inhibiting currents mediated by TASK channels, was observed after complete pharmacological blockade of Kv1.3 and KCa channels. A dual channel sulphur-containing a macrocycle functionalised BODIPY probe for the detection of Hg(II) in a mixed aqueous solution

We report herein the synthesis and chromo-fluorogenic behaviour of a new probe 1 containing a boron-dipirromethene (BODIPY) unit electronically connected with a dithia-dioxa-aza macrocycle. Acetonitrile and water-acetonitrile 95:5 v/v solutions of the probe showed an ICT band in the visible zone and are nearly non-emissive. When acetonitrile was used as solvent, addition of Hg(II) and trivalent metal cations induced an hypsochromic shift of the absorption band and moderate emission enhancements. Abstract In this research, plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings were prepared on AZ31 Mg alloy in a silicate-based solution containing K2TiF6 using bipolar and soft sparking waveforms with 10, 20, and 30% cathodic duty cycles. The coatings displayed a net-like surface morphology consisted of irregular micro-pores, micro-cracks, fused oxide particles, and a sintered structure. Due to the incorporation of TiO2 colloidal particles and the cathodic pulse repair effect, most of the micro-pores were sealed. Abstract The absorption spectra of the near-infrared and ultraviolet bands of ReF6 have been recorded with a commercial spectrophotometer. The vibronic assignments previously published by different authors are critically revised. A non-perturbative method has been used to calculate the linear Jahn–Teller levels for the ν5 mode in the ground electronic state. Some new vibronic parameter values are derived. The ν5 linear Jahn–Teller parameter in the X G′ g electronic state is found to be D5=0.103(9). The ultraviolet absorption spectrum has enabled us to determine relatively accurate values of the crystal-field (10Dq) and spin-orbit (ζd) parameters.

Abstract The synthesis of (RS)-2- or (RS)-3-methoxy-2,3-dihydro-5H-1,4-benzodioxepins and (RS)-5- or (RS)-3-methoxy-2,3,5,6-tetrahydro-8H-benzo-[1,4,7]-trioxecins has been developed. The mechanism of such a reaction via the boron trifluoride etherate-promoted transformation of 2-(methoxyethoxymethoxy)benzyloxyacetaldehyde dimethyl acetals or 2-(methoxyethoxymethoxymethyl)phenyloxyacetaldehyde dimethyl acetals has been proposed. Transannular versions of the reaction results in the facile ring contraction of 12-membered intermediates to the 10- and to 7-membered benzene-fused O,O-acetals. The characterization of the by-products strongly supports the mechanisms proposed.
