The explosive growth of short read datasets produced by high throughput DNA sequencing technologies poses a challenge to the mapping of short reads to a reference genome in terms of sensitivity and execution speed. Existing methods often use a restrictive error model for computing the alignments to improve speed, whereas more flexible error models are generally too slow for large-scale applications. Although a number of short read mapping software tools have been proposed, designs based on hardware are relatively rare. ECG-gated multislice computed tomography angiography as a comprehensive non-invasive imaging tool in patient with aortic coarctation

We describe a case of a 52-year-old-woman with aortic coarctation demonstrated by means of 40-slice MSCT angiography. Based on the information extracted from MSCT it was possible to display the anatomical configuration of the disease, the thoraco-abdominal collateral pathways. The best therapeutic approach was established on the basis of MSCT findings. MSCT is a reliable and comprehensive tool for the assessment of adult patients with aortic coarctation. The supramolecular charged aggregates formed during ESI ionization of AOTNa solutions under critical micelle concentration have been studied thorough ion mobility experiments. In particular, positively charged clusters with several charge states, ranging from +1 to +4, have been investigated. It has been found that, despite to previous investigations (Siuzdak et al. 1995, Nohara et al. 1998), specific ionic aggregates with a peculiar cross section are observed. The concept of dilemmatic space (Honig) is used to highlight the complexity of educational practices. Development of precise protocols for accurate site-specific conjugation of monodisperse inorganic nanoparticles to biological material is one of the challenges in contemporary bionanoscience and nanomedicine. We report here a successful site-specific covalent conjugation of functionalized atomically monodisperse gold clusters with 1.5-nm metal cores to viral surfaces. This paper asks whether international economic integration negatively affects electoral turnout. The theoretical model builds on the premise that economic integration constrains the ability of national governments to shape outcomes. Citizens are conscious of such constraints and take them into account when considering the costs and benefits of casting a vote in national elections. The result is a lower inclination to vote under conditions of high economic integration. Consequently, aggregate turnout is lower the more internationally integrated a national economy is. We take a fresh look at the aggregate and distributional effects of policies to liberalize international capital flowsâfinancial globalization. Both country- and industry-level results suggest that such policies have led on average to limited output gains while contributing to significant increases in inequalityâthat is, they pose an equityâefficiency trade-off. Behind this average lies considerable heterogeneity in effects depending on country characteristics. El estu-dio se centra en todas las sociedades anonimas fusionadas en 1992, y su informacion contable durante el periodo 1991-1995.
