Germanic laws focused mainly on community and kinship ties, they clearly defined social divisions and organized the life of the community. The law was not to be perceived as a product of the times, it was passed on from generation to generation and conveyed the wisdom of the elder. Every crime against another person or their property, independently of whether it concerned family laws, laws of property or any other laws, had to be compensated in accordance with customary rules as well as the social status of the aggrieved. AbstractWe report pump-probe transient absorption measurements addressing the photocycle of the Germanium lone pair center (GLPC) point defect with an unprecedented time resolution. The GLPC is a model point defect with a simple and well-understood electronic structure, highly relevant for several applications. Therefore, a full explanation of its photocycle is fundamental to understand the relaxation mechanisms of such molecular-like systems in solid state. Este trabajo ofrece una sucinta revisión y un balance provisional de cómo ha tratado la historiografía el movimiento de las Germanías de Valencia (1519-1522) como condicionante de la actividad artística en la primera mitad del siglo XVi, época de notorios cambios en el lenguaje y la práctica de los oficios y en las obras promovidas por sujetos e instituciones del reino de Valencia. Sin pretensión de exhaustividad, la exposición deja en segundo plano las cuestiones de estilo para enmarcar algunas manifestaciones arquitectónicas y artísticas en las que incidió la revuelta y la alteración de la convivencia social entre la segunda y la tercera década del siglo XVI. Il manoscritto comprende, tra l’altro, ai ff. 31-81, un trattato di ortografia disposto in ordine alfabetico: nello spazio bianco rimasto tra le lettere R e S del testo sono stati copiati cinque gruppi di versi in inglese, seguiti dalla rispettiva versione in latino (ff. 72r-72v) . Low‐Valent Germanylidene Anions: Efficient Single‐Site Nucleophiles for Activation of Small Molecules

Abstract Rare mononuclear and helical chain low‐valent germanylidene anions supported by cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbene and hypermetallyl ligands were synthesised by stepwise reduction from corresponding germylene precursors via stable and isolable germanium radicals. The electronic structures of the anions can be described with ylidene and ylidone resonance forms with the Ge−C π‐electrons capable of binding even weak electrophiles. The germanylidene anions reacted with CO2 to give μ‐CO2‐κC:κO complexes, a rare coordination mode for low‐valent germanium and inaccessible for the related neutral germylones.
