In fish, the lipid resources of the female form a link between the environment and progeny, contributing to the contents of the egg yolk. Variation of the environmental conditions is therefore expected to affect the egg quality via maternal pathways, reflecting the female’s response to the environmental factors before spawning. We investigated the content of lipids and thyroid hormones in the ovary and eggs of the Baltic herring during 1988–2019, when salinity of the Baltic Sea first declined and then stabilized to a lower level, and winters varied between severe and mild. Nykarleby är en av de tvåspråkiga kommunerna som våren 2017 erhöll statens specialunderstöd för att tidigarelägga språkundervisningen i finska. Finskundervisningen i staden tidigarelades år 2016 till årskurs 1 men denna har redan konstaterats vara otillräcklig i en starkt svenskspråkig miljö. Därför har man under läsåret 2017–2018 planerat Kielistigen, ett språkprogram med målsättningen att stärka den kommunikativa finskan genom att börja med barn i femårsåldern samt integrera språket som en naturlig del av verksamheten från småbarnspedagogiken till grundskolan där språket integreras i övrig undervisning. nonPeerReviewed

Isogenic cells in culture show strong variability, which arises from dynamic adaptations to the microenvironment of individual cells. Here we study the influence of the cell population context, which determines a single cell's microenvironment, in image‐based RNAi screens. We developed a comprehensive computational approach that employs Bayesian and multivariate methods at the single‐cell level. We applied these methods to 45 RNA interference screens of various sizes, including 7 druggable genome and 2 genome‐wide screens, analysing 17 different mammalian virus infections and four related cell physiological processes. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millaista päiväkodin työntekijöiden kohtaama lasten aggressiivinen käyttäytyminen on ja kuinka usein sitä kohdataan.
