Tarkastelen tutkielmassani lifestyleblogien metalingvististä diskurssia eli kielestä puhumista, jota kutsun blogipuheeksi. Blogipuheella tarkoitan blogissa esiintyvää puhetta, jossa kirjoittaja määrit-telee ja merkityksellistää omia motiivejaan ja ajatuksiaan blogigenrestä ja bloggaamisesta rakenta-en samalla tekstilajiin liittyviä yhteisiä normeja. Tavoitteenani on selvittää, miten bloggaajat pu-huvat blogeista ja bloggaamisesta ja millaisia merkityksiä he niille antavat. Maisterintutkielma käsittelee hyvinvoinnin rakentumista Tickle Your Fancy -blogissa. Tarkoituksena on selvittää, millaisia hyvinvoinnin representaatioita blogiin rakentuu kielellisten valintojen kautta. Tutkielman tarkoituksena on paljastaa vallalla olevia hyvinvointikäsityksiä ja lisätä ihmisten tietoisuutta niistä. Pro gradussani tutkin, kuinka koiransa menettäneet ihmiset luovat internetissä kuvaa menehtyneistä koiristaan ja koiran kuolemasta. Tutkimukseni tavoitteena on selvittää, millaista kuvaa koirista ja niiden kuolemasta luodaan blogeissa, ja millaisin kielen keinoin tämä tapahtuu. Aihetta ei ole suomen kielen näkökulmasta aiemmin tutkittu, vaikka koiran kuolema koskettaakin meistä monia. Les processus d’auto-sélection : le cas de la Garantie jeunes

Colloque organisé en ligne; International audience; Cette communication s’intéresse à l’auto-sélection des bénéficiaires du dispositif Garantie jeunes. L’originalité de notre recherche tient à la notion de compétences sociales puisque l’on suppose que le jeune va mobiliser un certain nombre d’entre elles à l’entrée du dispositif puis tout au long de celui-ci. En effet, nos résultats démontrent que la façon dont le dispositif est appréhendé par les bénéficiaires dépend en partie de ces compétences mais aussi du parcours antérieur, à la fois scolaire et professionnel.

The present study produced new knowledge about gender differences with respect to work-to-family conflict and its longitudinal relations with indicators of satisfaction and well-being. The study examined the longitudinal relations between work-to-family conflict and self-reported satisfaction and well-being in the domains of work (job satisfaction), family (marital satisfaction, parental distress) as well as overall (psychological and physical) symptoms. Air conditioning and heat-related mortality: a multi-country longitudinal study

Background: Air conditioning has been proposed as one of the key factors explaining reductions of heat-related mortality risks observed in the last decades. However, direct evidence is still limited. Methods: We used a multi-country, multi-city, longitudinal design to quantify the independent role of air conditioning in reported attenuation in risk. We collected daily time series of mortality, mean temperature, and yearly air conditioning prevalence for 311 locations in Canada, Japan, Spain, and the USA between 1972 and 2009. Abstract Recent migration towards Europe is characterized by the massive presence of adults whose educational paths have been interrupted and who are thus developing literacy for the first time in a new language. A literacy test elaborated at the University of Palermo, Italy, showed that, on a sample of 774 migrants, about 30 percent could not read and/or write short words. This test assessed the learners’ abilities to read and write, whether in the Roman alphabet or in other writing systems, and whether in Italian or in other languages of learners’ repertoires.
