A Just Criminalization of Irregular Immigration: Is It Possible?

The aim of this paper is to question, from the perspective of a principled theory of criminalization, the legitimacy of making irregular immigration (IM) a crime. Lo scritto di Clelia Bartoli riprende soprattutto la teoria dello Stato del sociologo francese delineata durante i corsi tenuti al College de France nel 1989/1990 e nel 1990/1992. Bourdieu ha rifuggito una moda intellettuale a lui coeva che spingeva storici politologi giuristi e sociologi a vagliarne cause e ragioni evoluzioni ed epiloghi delle rivoluzioni a discapito però di quanto accade sul fondale: lo scialbo ovattato e ripetitivo ordine delle cose. Bourdieu riteneva che dovesse stupire e meritare di essere spiegato fosse più la permanenza del mutamento l’ovvio più dell’eccentrico l’ordinario più straordinario. Tuttavia nel corso delle lezioni menzionate afferma che per provare nell’ardua impresa di pensare e comprendere lo Stato sia necessario guardare al momento della sua genesi o alle fasi di crisi come durante le rivoluzioni. È infatti in quei momenti che il potere simbolico di cui lo Stato ha il monopolio non è stabile e si presta ad essere osservato come frutto di un processo anziché nella sua ineluttabilità. Le categorie e l’approccio socioepistemico à la Bourdieu vengono adottate dalla Bartoli per leggere il caso dell’insorgenza cilena del 2019 e l’esordio del processo costituente.

Questo lavoro analizza le valenze paradigmatiche assunte dalla sua figura nella memoria civica siracusana e nella produzione storiografica; inoltre ricostruisce le dinamiche politiche che hanno spinto i principali tiranni siracusani (da Dionisio I a Ierone II) a stabilire un confronto con Gelone. This work analyses the paradigmatic value taken on by his figure in the civic memory of the people of Syracuse and in historiographic production. It also reconstructs the political dynamics which pushed the principal tyrants of Syracuse (from Dionysius I to Hiero II) to establish comparisons with Gelon. His exemplum was used to legitimate political actions and commitment against the Carthaginianparticular attention was also given to the Library of History of Diodorus Siculus and the role that the figure of Dinomenid assumes in itregarding these aspects the work of this author seems to have sometimes the signs of a personal interpretation of history: one that cannot always be explained in relation to the use of the two principal sources for Western history Timaeus and Philistos.

La condotta deviante dei funzionari, rappresentata in petizioni dell’Egitto romano fra I e III secolo trasmessi da papiri, esaminata mediante la terminologia utilizzata pertinente alla sfera personale, alla sfera dei codici etici di comportamento, alla sfera sociale, indica la ricerca della sympaheia dei destinatari. Le modalità di rappresentazione degli abusi da una parte dovevano suscitare la riprovazione sul piano etico, dall’altra gettavano un’ombra sulle conseguenze dannose sul piano sociale tanto per l’individuo, quanto per gli interessi dell’impero.

The contribution concerns digital reconstruction as a method for the study of theatrical spaces from the archaic age to the imperial age. After some preliminary observations on the characteristics Structures of Greek and Roman scenic buildings, some case studies are presented, examples of an experienced working method. Case studies include ikria and ekklesiasteria of Metaponto (7th-5th century BC), the Greek theater of Metaponto (4th century BC), the Greek theater of Tindari (III-II century BC), the Roman theater of Augusta Bagiennorum (1st century AD), with an interesting status quaestionis on the state of the findings and the added value of accurate 3D reconstructions.
