Le pont des Grilles de la Basse-Seille (fin XIVe siècle), ancienne porte d’eau de l’enceinte urbaine de Metz

The bridge des Grilles de la Basse-Seille is one of the last vestiges of the medieval fortification in Metz. It is one of rare examples of fortified bridge in France. Built in the end of the 14th century, it is backfilled in 1911 and only its upper section is visible. An archaeological and historic study was made in 2011 to understand the configuration and the functioning of the bridge in the Middle Ages.

Is cross-sectional poverty a reflection of real economic and social disadvantage? Does total number of years spent in poverty provide sufficient information about poverty severity? Recent studies show that in some countries there are good reasons to believe that it is not (see, among others, Mendola et al., 2009). What stakeholder groups are addressed in the German blue chips’ corporate codes of ethics and why do companies concentrate on particular stakeholders? These questions were subject to a study on stakeholder salience in the corporate codes of ethics of the German DAX 30-companies. The extent and the mode stakeholders are addressed in the ethical codes of the companies listed in the German blue chip stock market index were analysed. The empirical results were interpreted in the light of stakeholder salience theory. Bakalaura darbu „Praktiskie darbi ģeomātikas prasmju pilnveidei ģeogrāfijā pamatskolā” izstrādāja LU Ķīmijas fakultātes 4. kursa students Lauris Freimanis; bakalaura darba vadītāja: Dr. ģeogr. Gunta Kalvāne. Darba mērķis bija raksturot praktisko darbu izmantošanas iespējas ģeomātikas prasmju pilnveidei ģeogrāfijā pamatskolā. Pētījumā analizēta ģeomātikas nozīme un apguves metodes. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika izstrādāti un aprobēti astoņi ģeomātikas praktiskie darbi pamatskolas ģeogrāfijā. Ar anketēšanas palīdzību tika pētīts, kā vienas Purvciema skolas Rīgā un citu skolu skolēni pašnovērtē 14 dotu ģeomātikas prasmju apguvi. Celem pracy jest wykazanie aktualnych problemów prawnych w związku z ewolucją dystrybucji treści cyfrowych oraz próbą wskazania możliwych innych kierunków zmian w podejściu do sposobu zakupu treści cyfrowej wraz z upowszechnieniem się novum w postaci rozproszonego konsensusu. Ten ostatni spowodował rozpowszechnienie się technologii łańcucha bloków, która wedle koncepcji wizjonerów ma w przyszłości pozwolić na rozproszone usługi hostingowe połączone z nowym podejściem do dystrybucji treści cyfrowych bez nośnika – zarówno dla konsumentów, jak i autorów zdigitalizowanych dzieł.

Artykuł przedstawia debatę, jaka odbyła się pomiędzy zwolennikami i przeciwnikami obsadza-nia stanowisk sędziowskich w drodze wyborów powszechnych w Stanach Zjednoczonych w okre-sie tzw. „demokracji jakcsonowskiej” (zwaną także populistyczną) od początku lat trzydziestych XIX wieku do wybuchu wojny secesyjnej. Począwszy od prezydentury Andrew Jacksona nasiliła się w USA walka polityczna pomiędzy ludem reprezentowanym przez Partię Demokratyczną a eli-tami, których interesów broniła Partia Wigów.
