The parental bond, resistance to peer influence and risky driving in adolescence

The present study examined the relations between gender, the parental bond, resistance to peer influence, and risky driving. In particular, the mediating role of resistance to peer pressure in the relationship between parental bond and risky driving was examined. The moderating role of gender on these associations was also investigated. The sample comprised 322 adolescents (136 males and 186 females), aged from 16 to 20 years, who were living in northern Italy. Path analysis results showed that the maternal bond only indirectly influenced adolescents’ risky driving, via resistance to peer influence. Od wielu lat ekstrakty roślinne, w tym olejki eteryczne wykorzystywane były nie tylko ze względu na ich walory zapachowe, ale także lecznicze. Mogą być one pozyskiwane z różnych części roślin, co wpływa na skład jakościowy pozyskanego olejku i wydajność wyjściowego materiału. Badania zawarte w tej pracy skupiają się na roślinach z rodzaju Pelargonium, obejmujący około 250 gatunków, a który jest bardzo ceniony ze względu na zawartość olejku eterycznego, wykorzystywanego w wielu gałęziach przemysłu, m.in. perfumerii, przemyśle kosmetycznym (m.in. mydła czy kremy) spożywczym czy farmaceutycznym. Pelargonia pachnąca (Pelargonium graveolens) jest aromatycznym krzewem posiadającym jasnozielone, owłosione, miękkie w dotyku, karbowane liście i małe, różowe kwiaty. Należy do rodzaju Pelargonium (Geraniaceae) i liczy ponad 250 gatunków. Olejek eteryczny pozyskiwany z pelargonii jest bardzo ceniony nie tylko przez przemysł perfumeryjny czy aromaterapię, ale także przez przemysł spożywczy, kosmetyczny jak i farmację. Background: Drowning is a major public health issue, with risk increasing during times of flood. Driving into floodwater is a major risk factor for flood-related drowning and injury, and despite widespread public health campaigns, many people continue to undertake this risky behaviour and require rescue. Simple Summary International guidelines recommend universal screening of endometrial carcinoma patients for Lynch syndrome, a hereditary cancer predisposition syndrome. Screening is based on mismatch repair protein immunohistochemistry and reflex MLH1 methylation analysis to exclude the likely sporadic cases of MMR deficiency. As sporadic MLH1 protein loss is common in endometrial carcinoma, the ability to target methylation testing would save efforts and costs. Tyranny is often regarded as "a perennial problem" (Boesche 1996) on the basis of its ubiquitous presence in literature. Even more enduring is the problem of how to define human nature, its place in the environment, and its relationship to the divine – a core issue of philosophical anthropology (Pansera 2001, Honenberger 2015). In the present paper, I shall approach the literary construction of the tyrant figure in Greek and Roman tragedy from the holistic perspective of philosophical anthropology.
