El proyecto surge de la implementación del nuevo sistema de lectura de datos FELIX, que aprovecha los Transceptores Gigabit incorporados en las FPGA XC7VX485T y XC7VX690T del fabricante Xilinx. Se presenta un estudio empírico realizado con estudiantes universitarios. Se estudió el control de la comprensión durante la lectura de textos de ciencias en inglés. Los resultados muestran dificultades importantes en el procesamiento de las macroideas respecto de las microideas y esas dificultades disminuyen muy lentamente a medida que crece el nivel de dominio del inglés. Dado que el procesamiento de macroideas es necesario para el aprendizaje profundo de los contenidos de ciencias, estos estudiantes tendrían graves dificultades en seguir un Grado universitario impartido en inglés, de acuerdo con los cánones del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior. The aim of this study is to report the degree which is most demanded by students in their final year of university and training Higher Level and to analyze the influence of parameters of gender, field of study, academic and professional interests and motives in the choosing a degree or qualification Foreign Language. Se ha realizado un estudio sobre las Competencias Generales y Específicas para la Sostenibilidad en los planes de estudio de los grados del área de Ciencias de la Universitat de València1. La metodología aplicada es de tipo descriptivo y empírico. Se ha construido un tesauro para la recogida de datos, que contempla los temas prioritarios de la Declaración de la Década de la Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible y se ha desarrollado una herramienta de análisis, la construcción de una base de datos relacional.Se hace una propuesta para la inclusión en las competencias generales de todos los grados de Competencias para la Sostenibilidad.
Efficacy of screen recording in the other-revision of translations: episodic memory and event models

In a 2011 study, Angelone compared the self-revision results of graduate German translation students. Participants documented their original translations using Integrated Problem and Decision Reporting (IPDR) logs (Gile 2004), think-aloud protocols and screen recordings. They then used this documentation to assist self-revision of their translations. Angelone found a significant improvement in error detection overall and in each of six discrete error categories when participants used screen recordings to assist their self-revision. Evidence for involvement of a nuclear envelope-associated RNA helicase activity in nucleocytoplasmic RNA transport

It seems well established that translocation of at least some mRNAs through the nuclear pore is (1) an energy-dependent process, and (2) dependent on the presence of the poly(A) segment attached to most mRNA species. We describe that RNA helicase (RNA duplex unwindase) activity is present in a nuclear envelope (NE) preparation, which also appears to be involved in nucleocytoplasmic RNA transport. This activity unwinds RNA: RNA hybrids. The helicase has a pH optimum of 7.5 and a temperature optimum of 30 degrees C. This paper estimates single factor stochastic models describing daily air temperature behaviour. We modify classical financial models to reflect temperature seasonality and fit them to a time series representing temperatures in Spain. The estimated models are used in Montecarlo simulations to obtain heating and cooling degree-days, which are used as an underlying reference in weather derivatives. Acquisition of Skills, Training Activities and Learning Outcomes: Empirical Evidence in the Degree in Finance and Accounting

The aim of this paper is examining whether the new teaching model, based on a skills training approach, is being applied in the implementation of degrees. In particular, we examine it by an analysis of the degree in Finance and Accounting at University of Valencia. Interviews with the subjects’ coordinators as well as surveys addressed to both students and professors show that, although methodological changes have been made, the new teaching model has not been adopted yet. Results also show that carrying out more training activities does not have a signifi cant effect on the students’ learning outcomes.
