Inflammatory pituitary lesions
2021
Abstract Inflammatory pituitary lesions are rare but important differential diagnoses of nonfunctioning pituitary masses. Primary hypophysitis as an autoimmune disorder has received increasing attention over the past decades. In the last decade, immune checkpoint inhibitor–induced hypophysitis has emerged as a new type of secondary hypophysitis. Various pituitary tumors may also cause secondary hypophysitis. Systemic, noninfectious granulomatous diseases that can involve the pituitary region include sarcoidosis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, Erdheim-Chester disease, and Rosai-Dorfman disease. Furthermore, infectious diseases can affect the pituitary gland.…
Granulocytenfunktionsdefekte bei granulomatser muco-cutaner candidiasis
1975
Model for Generation of Large Numbers of Primary, Inflammatory Skin-Derived Neutrophils, and Macrophages
2012
Tissue macrophages and inflammatory neutrophils represent important cells of the innate immune system responsible for various important tasks, i.e., elimination of pathogens and/or granuloma formation. Isolation of large numbers of primary phagocytes is vital for research with these cells. Within this protocol, we present a strategy for isolation of large numbers of inflammatory neutrophils and macrophages from murine skin that allows for follow-up in vivo or in vitro studies.
Granuloma piógeno en tapones lagrimales smart plug
2007
A new pyrazolo pyrimidine derivative inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 with anti-angiogenic activity
2003
In a previous study, we reported a new pyrazolo pyrimidine derivative, N(4)-benzyl-N(6),N(6)-dimethyl-1-1(tert-butyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-6,4-diamine (DPP), which inhibited potently cyclooxygenase-2 activity in intact cell assays with minor activity against cyclooxygenase-1 (IC(50)=0.9 nM for cyclooxygenase-2 versus IC(50)=59.6 nM for cyclooxygenase-1). In the present work, this behaviour was confirmed in vivo by using the 24-h zymosan-injected mouse air pouch model (ID(50)=1.36 nM/pouch for prostaglandin E(2) level). We also studied the possible beneficial effect of DPP in the angiogenesis-dependent murine air pouch granuloma and rat paw carrageenan-induced hyperalgesia models. DP…
Queilitis granulomatosa de Miescher: presentación de cinco casos
2004

Diagnostic techniques and multidisciplinary approach in idiopathic granulomatous mastitis: A revision of the literature
2019
Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) is a chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast that may mimic breast cancer. It is most common in parous young fertile women, although it can occur in nulliparous women and in men. IGM is an idiopathic disease due to the influence of some environmental factors in genetically predisposed subjects. Several pathogenic hypothesis have been proposed in the last years (autoimmune, hormonal, infective genesis). IGM presents as a painful palpable mass located in one of the two udders. The skin is usually normal but could present signs of inflammation with or without lymph nodes involvement. Ultrasonography, mammography, magnetic resonance can be diagn…
CROHN'S DISEASE AND EXTRAINTESTINAL GRANULOMATOUS LESIONS
2018
Crohn's disease (CD) is an inflammatory bowel disease with a multifactorial etiology. Clinical features include mucosal erosion, diarrhea, weight loss and other complications such as formation of granuloma. in CD, granuloma is a non-neoplastic epithelioid lesio, formed by a compact aggregate of histiocytes with the absence of a central necrosis, however, the correlation amomg CD and the formation of granulomas is unknown. Many casesof granulomas in the extracellular site, related to Cd, have been reported in the literature. These granulomas, at times, rapresented the only visible manifestation of the pathology. extra intestinal granuloma have been found on ovaries, lungs, male genitalia, fe…
