Häpeä suomalaisten mielisairaalamuistoissa

2019

Korostunut häpeän tunne liittyy olennaisesti niin mielenterveysongelmiin kuin psykiatriseen hoitotyöhön. Erityisesti mielisairaalaan joutuminen on monelle häpeällinen kokemus, josta on vaikeaa puhua. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastelen mielisairaalakokemuksiin liittyvää häpeää  psykiatristen sairaaloiden potilaiden, omaisten ja henkilökunnan kirjoittamien muistojen valossa. Analysoin muistelijoiden kuvaamia häpeän kokemuksia kuvaten  häpeän kerronnallista rakentumista muistoissa. Pohdin mitkä tekijät ovat lisänneet, mitkä puolestaan helpottaneet mielisairaalakokemuksiin liittyvää häpeää. Eri muistelijaryhmien häpeän kokemukset ovat luonteeltaan erilaisia – potilaiden muistojen osalta niissä koro…

Is Environmental Sustainability Also “Economically Efficient”? The Case of the “SOStain” Certification for Sicilian Sparkling Wines

2022

The Italian wine industry is strongly committed to sustainability. Among the numerous sustainability certifications and programs implemented in Italy for the wine sector, SOStain is the oldest at the regional level. The SOStain Foundation promotes the voluntary application of a sustainability program, developed in 2010 in Sicily (Southern Italy). The requirements of the SOStain specifications are connected to the new CAP 2023–2027 objectives; therefore, companies preparing for the new challenges of future winemaking might be interested in joining the SOStain Foundation for greening production practices. The objective of this study was to learn producers’ and consumers’ opinions about motiva…

(p,2)-equations resonant at any variational eigenvalue

2018

We consider nonlinear elliptic Dirichlet problems driven by the sum of a p-Laplacian and a Laplacian (a (p,2) -equation). The reaction term at ±∞ is resonant with respect to any variational eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian. We prove two multiplicity theorems for such equations.

Which route of administration of acid tranexamic, intravenous or intra-articular, is more effective in the control of post-surgical bleeding after a …

2019

Abstract Introduction One of the most frequent complications after a total hip arthroplasty (THA) is bleeding, intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) is used to reduce it. We considered it necessary to carry out a study to clarify which administration route is superior. Material and method Prospective, controlled and randomized study in 2 arms carried out between February 2017 and February 2018. 15 mg/kg of intravenous TXA were administered in group A and 2 g of intra-articular TXA in group B. The values of haemoglobin and haematocrit were evaluated at 24 h-72 h, blood loss volume, drained blood volume, transfusions and complications. Results 78 patients were included, 31 with intravenous treatm…

Active compression-decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation — Instructor and student manual for teaching and training

1996

In an attempt to standardize the teaching and training of active compression-decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACD-CPR), a group of leading emergency physicians, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, paramedics and nurses with practical, theoretical, educational, and scientific experience in the subject met in June 1995. The group was called The International Working Group of Teaching and Training Active Compression-Decompression CPR. The group was 'born' as a result of the first International Conference of Active Compression-Decompression CPR held in Copenhagen in March 1995. The following paper describes the background, development and text of and ACD-CPR course manual for both stu…
