Abstract Objective Gut fibrosis occurs under chronic inflammation. This study examined the effects of different cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitors on fibrosis in the inflamed colon. Methods Colitis was induced by 2,4-dinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (DNBS) in albino male Sprague–Dawley rats. After 6, 12 and 18 days, macroscopic and microscopic damage, collagen and elastic fibre content were examined. Comparison of the volatile oils ofHypericum scabrum L. andHypericum perforatum L. from Turkey

The composition of the volatile oils obtained from the aerial parts of Hypericum scabrum L. and H. perforatum L. was analysed by GC and GC‐MS. While the oil of H. scabrum L. contained a-pinene (71.6%), b-caryophyllene (4.8%), myrcene (3.8%), cadalene (3.4%) and b-pinene (2.9%), the oil of H. perforatum L. contained a-pinene (61.7%), 3-carene (7.5%), b-caryophyllene (5.5%), myrcene (3.6%), cadalene (3.2%) and other components. Twenty-nine and 27 terpenoid compounds have been identified in the volatile oils of H. scabrum L. and H. perforatum L., respectively. #1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Maģistra darba tēma – Zīmola Gutta jaunās identitātes ietekme uz tēla uztveri. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt zīmola Gutta jaunās identitātes ietekmi uz zīmola tēla uztveri. Lai noskaidrotu, vai zīmola Gutta komunicētais tēls sakrīt ar patērētāju uzverto zīmola tēlu, tika veikta aptauja. Lai noteiktu, kādi ir galvenie patērētāju izvēles noteicošie faktori sulu, nektāru un dzērienu zīmolu izvēlē, tika organizēta fokusgrupu diskusija. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka zīmola Gutta komunicētais tēls lielākoties sakrīt ar patērētāju uztverto zīmola tēlu, un galvenie patērētāju izvēles kritēriji sulu, nektāru un dzērienu tirgū ir produkta garša un cena.
