El uso de relatos bíblicos constituye un recurso habitual dentro de la técnica compositiva del himnógrafo bizantino Romano Melodo. Por ello, en este artículo se pretende analizar la acomodación de un episodio concreto del Antiguo Testamento (Dn 3) a lo largo del corpus atribuido Romano y se cotejan los diferentes textos que pudieron ser tenidos en cuenta como fuentes.

Modelling analysis of centroid curves of olfactory habituation in humans

Indexation en cours.; International audience; Previously published experiments established the time-course of olfactory habituation in humans, and extracted 3 centroid curves from clustering analysis that reflected high, middle and low habituation. The aim of the current theoretical study was to further analyse these previous experimental data by developing a mathematical modelling analysis designed for fitting the 3 curves from a general equation. After adjusting equation parameters for each curve, fitting equation outcomes on experimental data yielded high correlation coefficients of 0.9997 – 0.9995 – 0.9962, respectively. Malnutrition is a major challenge in South Africa (SA), particularly in Eastern Cape and Limpopo provinces, which are predominantly black and historically disadvantaged. This thesis aims to assess the potential of Moringa oleifera (MO) as a source of nutritional improvement in the diets of mothers and their children in these provinces. Known for its nutritional benefits, MO is a plant native to India, now cultivated in SA but not widely used for human nutrition. A two-part approach was followed in this thesis. Tarkastelen pro gradu-tutkielmassa lastensuojelun sosiaalityöntekijöiden kokemaa asiakasväkivaltaa. Tutkielmani tavoitteena on selvittää, miten lastensuojelun sosiaalityöntekijät kokevat ja määrittelevät asiakasväkivaltaa ja miten eri työyhteisöissä suhtaudutaan asiakasväkivaltaan. Kysyn, mitä tunteita väkivallan kohteeksi joutuminen sosiaalityöntekijöissä herättää, ja miten sen vaikutuksia käsitellään. Mitkä tekijät suojaavat asiakasväkivallalta ja helpottavat siitä selviytymistä, ja onko eri työyhteisöjen väkivaltaan suhtautumisessa eroja.
