International audience; Après avoir décliné la typologie des caractéristiques des produits en termes d'attributs de recherche, d'expérience et de croyance, les auteurs soulignent les mécanismes susceptibles d'assurer l'efficacité des transactions marchandes. Afin de cerner les enjeux liés à la loyauté des transactions dans le cas des attributs de croyance, ils montrent à l'aide d'un jeu simple, le caractère crucial des phases de définition, de vérification et de signalement, ces dernières nécessitant généralement l'intervention d'agents extérieurs à la transaction marchande.

Firms are under constant pressure from various governmental and nongovernmental agencies to switch from conventional environmentally polluting products to green product innovations (GPIs). However, the relevant research pertaining to GPI has been published in a diverse set of journals that vary in their scope and readership and, therefore, the scholarly contribution to the topic remains largely fragmented. ISDS (investor-state dispute settlement, znany także jako ICS - investment court system) to umowny mechanizm rozstrzygania sporów między inwestorem a państwem. Polega on na możliwości zaskarżenia państwa przez przedsiębiorcę (inwestora) do arbitrażu wówczas, gdy państwo wydaje lub wykorzystuje przepisy ograniczające zyski przedsiębiorstwa (praktyki dyskryminujące). Effect of temperature on anaerobic treatment of black water in UASB-septic tank systems

The effect of northern European seasonal temperature changes and low temperature on the performance of upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB)-septic tanks treating black water was studied. Three UASB-septic tanks were monitored with different operational parameters and at different temperatures. The results indicated the feasibility of the UASB-septic tank for (pre)treatment of black water at low temperatures with respect to removal of suspended solids and dissolved organic material. Inoculum sludge had little effect on COD(ss) removal, though in the start-up phase some poorly adapted inoculum disintegrated and washed out, thus requiring consideration when designing the process.
