Effectiveness of spinosad and mineral oil for control of Grapholita funebrana Treitschke in organic plum orchards

An experiment was conducted in an organic plum orchard in Sicily to evaluate the damage caused by the plum moth Grapholita funebrana (Treitschke) to three plum cultivars (Angeleno, Friar, and Stanley) and to evaluate plum moth control provided by mineral oil applied every 20 days (Moil), spinosad applied every 10 days (S10), or spinosad and mineral oil applied alternately (S/Moil). Treatment application began when eggs were first observed on fruits. S10 and S/Moil effectively reduced plum moth damage on all cultivars but Moil did not. Plum moth infestation was significantly lower on Stanley than on Friar and Angeleno.

Hot Isostatic Pressing elaboration of Norem02, an austenitic-ferritic hypereutectoid stainless steel, leads to the formation ofan austenitic matrix with a mixture of acicular M7C 3 and globular M23 C 6 carbides. A Power Law Behavior in the Incentivized Italian Photovoltaic Market

The Italian photovoltaic (PV) marketis analyzed by using the data contained in the database that describes all PV Plants installed in Italy under the incentive program called “2nd Conto Energia”. It is shown that the cumulative probability distribution of the size of the installed PV plants has a broken power tail. An approach to partially quantify the effect of the economic, juridical and technical rules is introduced in order to show how the regulatory body influences the power tail of the cumulative probability curve.

The choice of computers been made according to a minimax: one chooses the most powerful computer in the less powerful category. We show here that, in a simple case, if one takes into account the time of equipment utilization, this rule can be given in cause. We study then a case more complicated including some technical parameters like the case of multiprocessor machine and including other human parameters like the intensity of task submission.

Tutkielmani aiheena on elämisen taide (art of living), jota tarkastelen pragmatistisen filosofian näkökulmasta. Richard Shusterman (1949–) on tutkielmani kannalta tärkein ajattelija. Shustermanon amerikkalainen uuspragmatisti, joka on tutkinut erityisesti estetiikkaa. John Dewey (1859–1952) on ollut Shustermanille tärkeä vaikuttaja. Shusterman ajattelussaan jatkaa Deweyn aloittamaa esteettisen kokemuksen merkityksen korostamista. Shusterman esittää, että estetiikan vapauttaminen taiteen määrittelemisen tehtävästä on pragmatistisen estetiikan keskeinen tavoite. Dans cet article, nous approchons la question de la prescription culturelle par son inscription matérielle en nous intéressant à la circulation d'albums au sein de deux mondes musicaux : le monde du hardcore punk et celui de l'indie rock. Dans ces mondes, ces supports sont au centre des attachements que les individus entretiennent avec la musique et jouent un rôle prescriptif important. Celui-ci est double puisque l'album est, à la fois, le résultat des chaînes de prescription qui le transportent, et dispose d'une affordance prescriptive propre.
