A comprehensive analysis of vaulted bodies involves the study of the multiple components necessary for their definition: geometric configuration construction system historical-geographical area of belonging interpretations Stylistic. About ten years ago the Linguistic Atlas of Sicily (ALS) adopted the dictionary-atlas tool. When the rich onomastic universe began to be investigated its use was also evaluated on three different oral corpora: one relating to the popular forms of the toponymic heritage (DAToS Dictionary-toponymic atlas of Sicily) one concerning the plural inventory of ethnic nicknames (DASES Dictionary-atlas of ethnic nicknames in Sicily) the latest afferent to the popular individual and family anthroponomastic heritage (DASS Dictionary-atlas of the nicknames of / in Sicily). Associations between personality, sports participation and athletic success. A comparison of Big Five in sporting and non-sporting adults

Abstract The present study investigates whether the Big Five personality traits are different among diverse sports populations. A sample of 881 male athletes and non-athletes completed a self-report questionnaire measuring their personality traits. The Exploratory Structure Equation Modeling (ESEM) approach is adopted to test measurement invariance and mean differences among groups. The results indicate that athletes who had experienced the most success in their sport scored higher than non-athletes in each personality dimension of the Big Five, with the exception of openness, while less successful athletes scored higher than non-athletes only in extraversion and agreeableness. Background: In this cross-sectional, international study, we aimed to analyze vector-borne and zoonotic infections (VBZI), which are significant global threats. Method: VBZIs’ data between May 20–28, 2018 was collected. The 24 Participatingcountries were classified as lower-middle, upper-middle, and high-income. Results: 382 patients were included. 175(45.8%) were hospitalized, most commonly in Croatia, Egypt, and Romania(P = 0.001). There was a significant difference between distributions of VBZIs according to geographical regions(P < 0.001). Lo studio è stato condotto in un’area dell’interno collinare argilloso siciliano, su suoli che evolvono sui depositi evaporitici della Serie Gessoso-Solfifera. Sono stati scelti cinque pedon su litotipi calcarei e non. Authors report on forms and soil carbonate formation models as detected by 13C isotopes. This study was carried out in a clayey hilly area of central Sicily where soils have developed on evaporitic deposits of “Gessoso-Solfifera” Formation. Four pedons were selected both on calcareous and no calcareous lithotypes. Pedons were described in field and sampled according to sequence of genetic horizons. Soil samples were analyzed to investigate the following properties: particle size distribution reaction electrical conductivity gypsum organic and inorganic carbon. Moreover isotopic analyses were performed on organic and inorganic carbon. Results allow us to describe the complex relationships between biotic and abiotic soil components.
