This dissertation is devoted to the study of the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property in different contexts. In Chapter 1 we give a historical resume and the motivation behind this property as the classics Bishop-Phelps and Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás theorems. We define the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property (BPBp) and we comment on some important current results. In Chapter 2 we study similar properties to the BPBp. First, we define the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás point property (BPBpp). The BPBpp is stronger than the BPBp. We study it for bounded linear operators and then for bilinear mappings. AbstractThis study contends that phenomenography offers both a useful research method and practical tools for developing education and training for career practitioners. After introducing the basic principles of phenomenography, the study reviews previous research on its potential in developing pedagogical practices. It explores how the phenomenographic findings were utilized to design an online skills training programme for career practitioners. Professional educators and burnout

In recent years the risk of developing a burnout syndrome among workers in the helping professions has been clearly stated. Although burnout syndrome, in fact, is threatening different professional activities, incidence was reported higher in sanitary and social professions. In this work the risk of developing a Burnout syndrome was evidenced to occur in Educators working in the socio-sanitary area. Causal relationships where indicated not only in the working context and in the peculiar characteristic of the patients, but also in the precarious, from the juridical point of view, working conditions.

Gene gun-mediated biolistic DNA vaccination with beta-galactosidase (betaGal)-encoding plasmid vectors efficiently modulated antigen-induced immune responses in an animal model of type I allergy, including the inhibition of immunoglobulin E (IgE) production. Here we show that CD4(+) as well as CD8(+) T cells from mice biolistically transfected with a plasmid encoding betaGal under the control of the fascin promoter (pFascin-betaGal) are capable of inhibiting betaGal-specific IgE production after adoptive transfer into naïve recipients.
