The dissertation is concerned with the speeches of Vihtori Kosola (1884–1936), recruiter of jäger, strike breaker and activist. Kosola assumed the leadership of the Lapua Movement in 1929. His most significant speeches were delivered on the peasants’ march of 7 July 1930 and on the 15th anniversary of the war of independence on 16 May 1933. Kosola was a political speaker and the figurehead of the Patriotic people’s movement (IKL) founded in 1932. The Study focuses on Kosola’s speeches applying rhetorical-semantic concept analysis with regard to the changes occurring in the main concepts. A personal name has always played a central role in the formation of an individual’s identity. In addition to the surname, the forename also defined his or her place within the family community, which for most people was the most important target in the identification process, especially in the early modern period. The identities of the persons in rural families were also to a great extent based on personal names inherited from forebears and the images thus created. Tutkielma käsittelee interfiguraalisuutta – intertekstuaalisuuden alalajia, joka viittaa eri teksteissä esiintyvien henkilöhahmojen välisiin suhteisiin – Donna Tarttin romaanissa The Secret History. Tarttin romaanin päähenkilöitä tarkastellaan suhteessa neljän muun romaanin henkilöhahmoihin (F. Scott Fitzgeraldin The Great Gatsby, William Goldingin Lord of the Flies, Evelyn Waugh’n Brideshead Revisited sekä Oscar Wilden The Picture of Dorian Gray). Tässä kirjallisuuden sivulaudaturtutkielmassa tarkastellaan novellin rakenteellisia aineksia sekä esitetään malli novellianalyysin opettamisesta lukiossa. Tutkielma on jaettu kahteen osaan: ensimmäiset kaksi lukua keskittyvät valittujen kirjallisuuden teemojen käsittelyyn sekä paikantavat novellin sijoittumista kaunokirjallisuuden kaanoniin. Tutkielma lähestyy novellin elementtejä esittelemällä erilaisia näkemyksiä kerronnasta ja henkilöhahmoteoriasta. Ketterät menetelmät kasvattavat suosiotaan ohjelmistoyritysten keskuudessa, mutta suurin osa menetelmistä jättää kokonaan huomiotta yksin työskentelevien kehittäjien joukon. Tässä tutkielmassa pyritään kirjallisuuskatsauksen keinoin selvittämään, millaisia ketteriä menetelmiä itsenäiselle ohjelmistokehittäjälle on olemassa ja miten ne eroavat toisistaan. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan lähemmin neljää itsenäisen kehittäjän ketterää menetelmää ja vertaillaan niitä toisiinsa henkilökohtaisen ohjelmistoprosessin työtapojen pohjalta.
