PurposeA frame is an interpretive scheme of meanings that guide participants’ interpretations of social interaction and their actions in social situations (Goffman, 1974). By identifying early-career physicians’ identity and relationship frames, this study aims to produce information about socially constructed ways to interpret leadership communication in a medical context.Design/methodology/approachThe data consist of essays written by young physicians (n= 225) during their specialization training and workplace learning period. Leadership and meaningful work: The possibilities and challenges of the Vocational Meaning and Fulfillment Survey In this study we examined how leaders perceive meaningful work and if the new Vocational Meaning and Fulfillment Survey (VMFS) could be used as a leadership tool in organizations. The data were collected through 22 semistructured thematic interviews and analyzed with a phenomenographic approach. Diversity in CLIL as experienced by Finnish CLIL teachers and students : matters of equality and equity

This article focuses on how Finnish CLIL teachers and students orient to and experience diversity in CLIL. The data consist of teacher and student interviews that were analysed using qualitative content analysis to identify recurrent themes with regard to diversity. The findings indicate that the theme of equality in the sense of ‘the same for all’ in both teaching, assessing and homework was readily brought up by both groups, reflecting the ethos of equality prevalent in Finnish education. Equity, however, was not similarly highlighted even though it is a guiding principle alongside equality in the Finnish Core Curriculum for Basic Education. Tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin ikääntyneiden naisten henkilökohtaisia tavoitteita ja niiden yhteyttä liikkumiskykyyn ja mielialaan. Tutkimuksessa todettiin, että ikääntyneiden naisten yleisimmät tavoitteet liittyvät terveyteen ja toimintakykyyn, liikuntaan, ihmissuhteisiin sekä itsenäiseen asumiseen ja elämäntavan säilyttämiseen. Niillä, joiden liikkumiskyky oli rajoittunut, oli enemmän terveyteen ja toimintakykyyn ja vähemmän liikuntaan liittyviä tavoitteita kuin niillä, joiden liikkumiskyky oli hyvä.
