Tässä väitöskirjassa tarkastellaan korkeakoulutettujen tutkinnollaan saavuttamien työelämätulosten eriytymistä ja eriytymisen yhteyttä koulutusalaan sekä muihin tutkinnon suorittaneiden taustaan liittyviin tekijöihin. Näitä tekijöitä ovat sukupuoli, pohjakoulutus ja ikä. Lisäksi eriytymistä tarkastellaan työantajasektorin (julkinen/yksityinen) mukaan, joka on olennaisesti yhteydessä sekä koulutusalaan että sukupuoleen. Developmental dynamics between young adults’ life satisfaction and engagement with studies and work

The present five-wave longitudinal study investigated the cross-lagged associations between young adults’ life satisfaction and study/work engagement over the transition from post-comprehensive studies to higher education or work during the second and third decades of life. Gender, educational track, academic performance and family socioeconomic status were also examined. The study is part of the longitudinal Finnish Educational Transitions (FinEdu) study, and used data from secondary education onwards, following 821 participants from age 17 to 25. ResumenSe reporta una investigación cualitativa cuyo objetivo fue develar cómo infl la racionalidad instrumental de las políticas en las prácticas de los cuerpos académicos y la formación ética de estudiantes. Se reunieron 17 narrativas de profesores de dos universidades. El análisis combinó los procedimientos de teoría fundamentada y etnografía. Se encontró que: a) la racionalidad instrumental se refleja en las interacciones académicas y en las finalidades priorizadas; b) se busca formar en la ética del reconocimiento y el compromiso, pero mediante la socialización en la que afloran la reificación y la cooperación interesada. Casein genes are highly polymorphic and the high degree of variability has qualitative and quantitative effects on milk composition thereby affecting chemical, physical and technological properties of goat milk. The aim of this work was to evaluate the genetic polymorphisms of the αs2-casein (CSN1S2) gene in the endangered Girgentana dairy goat breed in order to assess the genotypes distribution, as it is known genotype influences technological and nutritional milk properties. High-precision measurement of a low Q value for allowed β−-decay of 131I related to neutrino mass determination

The ground-state-to-ground-state β−-decay 131I (7/2+) → 131Xe (3/2+) Q value was determined with high precision utilizing the double Penning trap mass spectrometer JYFLTRAP at the IGISOL facility. The Q value of this β−-decay was found to be Q = 972.25(19) keV through a cyclotron frequency ratio measurement with a relative precision of 1.6 × 10−9. This was realized using the phase-imaging ion-cyclotron-resonance technique. The new Q value is more than 3 times more precise and 2.3σ higher (1.45 keV) than the value extracted from the Atomic Mass Evaluation 2020.
