Background During the stance phase of running, the elasticity of the Achilles tendon enables the utilisation of elastic energy and allows beneficial contractile conditions for the triceps surae muscles. However, the effect of changes in tendon mechanical properties induced by chronic loading is still poorly understood. Hill’s Equation in Arm Push of Shot Put and in Braking of Arm Rotation

This chapter consists of the earlier study of shot put where A.V. Hill’s force-velocity relationship was transformed into a constant maximum power model consisting of three different components of power. In addition, the braking phase of the arm rotation movement was examined where Hill’s equation was applied for accelerated motions. Hill’s force-velocity relationship was tested by fitting it into two arm push measurements of shot put experiments and one braking phase of whole arm rotation. Modeling the probability distribution of peak discharge for infiltrating hillslopes

Hillslope response plays a fundamental role in the prediction of peak discharge at the basin outlet. The peak discharge for the critical duration of rainfall and its probability distribution are needed for designing urban infrastructure facilities. This study derives the probability distribution, denoted as GABS model, by coupling three models: (1) the Green-Ampt model for computing infiltration, (2) the kinematic wave model for computing discharge hydrograph from the hillslope, and (3) the intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) model for computing design rainfall intensity. Käytän teoriana taidekasvatuksen klassikkoa Friedrich von Schillerin Kirjeitä ihmisen esteettisestä kasvatuksesta. Olen pyrkinyt mahdollisimman luonnolliseen pelikokemukseen. Schillerin kirjeitä lukiessa olen palannut analysoimaan ja tarkastelemaan pelikokemusta. Pääkäsitteet tutkimuksessa ovat leikki/peli ja vapaus: Leikissä vapaudumme olemassa olevista määrittelyistä. Resumen tomado de la publicación Analiza la labor en el aula de cinco profesores que imparten la asignatura de historia de segundo de bachillerato. El perfil profesional actual de estos docentes es producto de un proceso evolutivo en el que han intervenido la formación historiográfica y didáctica, las rutinas escolares, las diferentes reformas educativas y los cambios en la concepción profesional del profesor de secundaria.
