Oikeus- ja kulttuurihistorian alaan sijoittuvassa tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan itsenäisen Suomen opetus- ja kirjastotointa koskeneen oikeudellisen sääntelyn syntyä sekä sääntelyyn sisältyneitä yhdenvertaisuuden elementtejä. Huomioitavaksi tulevat niin vallinnut yhteiskunnallinen ja oikeuskulttuurinen konteksti kuin sivistyksellistä yhdenvertaisuutta koskenut arvo- ja oikeusperustakin. Arvojen ja oikeuden yhteys nähdään tutkimuksessa kiinteänä. This article analyzes the origins of generalized trust in Finnish society and how this relates to trust in education. The study was based on a historical analysis of the role of education in building a Finnish society and nation state. The author discusses the development of a Nordic welfare state and analyzes the relationships between generalized trust and education from the perspectives of democracy, corruption, egalitarian attitudes, wealth, and culture. Jorma Pohjanen kyseenalaistaa tutkimuksessaan arkikokemuksemme kellosta ajan mittarina ja ajan ja kellon määräävästä vaikutuksesta tekemisiimme. Kello on tutkimuksessa pikemminkin yhteiskunnallinen ilmiö kuin aikaa mittaava laite. Rahan ohella kello on modernin yhteiskunnan tyypillisin ilmiö ja esine. Jorma Pohjasen tutkimuksessa kello on kytketty sosiologiseen teoriaan modernisoitumisesta, ja siinä pyritään selvittämään mitä kello sosiologisessa mielessä on.

Tarkastelen artikkelissani kokoelman omistushistoriaa soveltaen provenance-lähestymistapaa.
