Sustainability in the restoration and management of the historic architecture in Palermo

This research investigates the energy and environmental sustainability in the restoration and conservation of historic buildings. It focuses on the architectural heritage of Palermo, which can be a significant case study for the Mediterranean area. Its objective is to analyse the current energy performance of this historic architecture and its potential for energy improvement. Therefore, it aims at proposing a methodology to combine the enhancement of energy and environmental performances of the historic architecture of Palermo with the need of its material and aesthetic conservation, in the frame of the current regulations.

Some issues concerning the compilation and processing of the corpus data are discussed and the main sources added to the Corpus during the four-year project are described: the 16th c. On flora semantics in house names found in Vidzeme: materials contained in the 1826 counting of souls in Vidzeme province The information of the counting of souls containing both house names and names of individuals is an essential aspect of historical onomastics. The first counting of souls in Vidzeme took place in 1782 and coincided with the 4 th analogous census of the provinces of Russia. Subsequently these took place at irregular intervals, the 5 th in 1795, the 6 th in 1811, the 7 th in 1816, the 8 th in 1834, the 9 th in 1850, and the final, 10 th in 1858. This paper presents a hydrometeorological reconstruction of the flood triggering meteorological situation and the simulation of discharges of the flood event of December 1882 in the Neckar catchment in Baden-Württemberg (southwest Germany). The course of the 1882 flood event in the Neckar catchment in southwest Germany and the weather conditions which led to this flood were reconstructed by evaluating the information from various historical sources. From these historical data, daily input data sets were derived for run-off modeling. The research aims to quantify the maximum loss of the securities value, based on their daily closing prices, at a 5% relevance level, using the historical simulation method. Se trata de una serie de estancias pavimentadas con mosaicos de opus tessellatum, decorados con motivos geometricos y vegetales bicromos de gran calidad. Destaca la presencia de un peristilo trapezoidal como espacio redistribuidor. El treball analitza l’adequació de les perioditzacions de la història de la llengua catalana amb l’objectiu proposar-ne una que siga compatible amb el caràcter social de què actualment pretenen revestir-se la majoria de les històries de la llengua. Així, es considera fora de lloc el tractament d’algun període previ a l’existència de la llengua catalana, com la de la romanització, i es rebutja alguna etiqueta que és una tradició inventada, com la de la reconquista.
