This thesis project deals with the organization of scriptural productions, archival and library practices of Cîteaux Abbey. We consider the multiple forms of these pratices: creation and increase of archival holdings (Abbey archives and cistercian Order documents), filing, preservation of archives, relations with users. This research takes into account the aspects of document materiality and archaeology, studying cartulary and register processes with their bindings, inventory methods of archives and manuscripts, document appraisal and disposal, classification or restoration, shelf-marks and other graphic characters.
LOCAL STRUCTURE OF THE CuCu (EDTA) (H2O)2, 2H2O AMORPHOUS COMPLEX : A JOINT MAGNETIC, LAXS, AND MOLECULAR MECHANICS INVESTIGATION

The short range order in the amorphous CuCu (EDTA) (H2O)2, 2H2O is studied by Large Angle X-ray Scattering (LAXS) and molecular mechanics. Three conformations of the complex molecule are shown to be energetically equivalent, two of which are simultaneously present in the amorphous material.
Structure of doped polyaniline - dielectric spectroscopy measurements

The role of doping reagents (residual water and acid anions) in determining the electric properties of a chemically synthesized polyaniline (PANI) was studied using a dielectric spectroscopy method. Dependencies of dielectric losses and susceptibility of PANI as the functions of temperature (-100÷+100°C) and electric field frequency (0.3÷30000 Hz) were examined at it was shown the role of water acts as a doping impurity similar to acid anions. The model is proposed to explain the role of water in terms of adsorption of H 2 O molecules at nitrogen sites of PANI chain and their dissociation
Comparative study of degassing membrane modules for the removal of methane from Expanded Granular Sludge Bed anaerobic reactor effluent

Abstract The feasibility of an emergent technology for in situ removal/recovery of methane from the effluent of an Expanded Granular Sludge Bed (EGSB) anaerobic reactor has been studied. For this purpose, the performances of two commercial hollow fibre degassing contactors with different membrane materials – microporous (polypropylene, PP) and non-porous (polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS) – were compared. Abstract The European bee, Apis mellifera L. (Hymenoptera: Apidae), is a fundamental resource for the pollination of a great variety of botanical species used by humans for sustenance. Over the last few decades, bee colonies have become vulnerable to a new pest that has advanced beyond its native sub-Saharan territory: the small hive beetle, Aethina tumida Murray (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae). Based on a series of unpublished documents found in the Vatican Library and in the Vatican Archive, this article reconstructs the purchase in 1912 of manuscripts and printed books of the Collegium Romanum by the Vatican Library, during the papacy of Pius X. The purchase negotiations, which took place between June and July 1912, involved the praepositus and the consultor of the Roman province of the Jesuits, Augusto Spinetti and Pietro Tacchi Venturi, and the prefect of the Vatican Library, the Jesuit Franz Ehrle. Assessment of Plant Origin By-Products as Lightweight Aggregates for Bio-Composite Bounded by Starch Binder

Thermal insulation bio-composites made of plant origin by-products as bio-aggregates are one of the ways to decrease the impact of the building and construction sector on CO2 emissions. In this study, three bio-aggregates were analysed for their potential use in the production of bio-composites with potato starch binder. Technologically important properties, such as particle size, shape and compacted bulk density, as well as properties of the resulting bio-composites were identified.
