To compare whole-body MRI (WB-MRI) with diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), FDG-PET/CT, and bone marrow biopsy (BMB), for the evaluation of bone marrow involvement (BMI) in patients with newly diagnosed lymphoma.This retrospective study was approved by our Institutional Review Board. AIM: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relation between risk factors for atrial fibrillation (AF) and thromboembolic complications. METHODS: We studied 480 patients (mean age: 71.2+/-11.6 years): 240 with paroxysmal AF, 240 with permanent AF. The association between AF and the presence of risk factors, cardiac and systemic disease was observed and the correlation with the occurrence of complications analyzed. Objective: To study the influence of apo E phenotype in plasma lipids, especially in triglycerides levels, in menopausal women receiving hormonal replacement therapy (HRT). Methods: One hundred and ten postmenopausal women were studied. Plasma total cholesterol (TC), HDL-C and triglycerides (TG) were measured before and after 3 months of HRT and the apo E phenotype was determined.
