The article is a comparative study of two contemporary Italian novels ("Scherzetto" by Domenico Starnone and "Dalle rovine" by Luciano Funetta) and it is meant to highlight the peculiar narrative logic of two horror stories, also investigating the relationship between obscenity, fear, tension and pornography.

Despedazar un cuerpo: de una cierta tendencia en el cine de terror postmoderno

El presente texto analiza el corte que supuso en el cine de terror la película Psycho (Psicosis, A. Hitchcok, 1960). Por una parte, desde el punto de vista de la imaginería, desplazó las fuentes del terror hacia fennómenos de la realidad colindante en lugar de seguir en el fantástico romántico o de ciencia ficción; por otra parte, desde la perspectiva del régimen de visibilidad anunció el choque del ojo del espectador con el ejercicio de la violencia física ejercida sobre un cuerpo humano. Así pues, Psycho se mantiene en un momento de fractura del terror clásico americano, pero recurre al montaje allí donde los Splatter movies modernos se entregarían al voyeurismo sin contemplaciones.

It may include ghosts and monsters, nightmares and existential fears, or, violence and content labelled as “difficult”. Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof (2007): Subverting Gender through Genre or Vice Versa?

International audience; The article examines how Death Proof (Tarantino, 2007) subverts both gender and genre by mixing several genres (the slasher, the car movie, the buddy movie) generally considered to be male, either at the diegetic level (e.g. the main characters) or at the level of reception (i.e. the target audience). The film's play on gender and genre, which is clearly based on the idea that film genres are gendered, is, then, enabled by the very discursivity of these norms. Resumen : Las relaciones que existen entre la poesia y la representacion del fenomeno de la Shoah han sido ampliamente estudiadas por la filosofia y los estudios literarios, interesados en todo lo que concierne a la memoria y al recuerdo del horror. Sin embargo, creo que las razones que llevan a algunos sobrevivientes de la ultima dictadura militar argentina a afirmar que la poesia es el genero mas adecuado para aproximarse a la representacion del horror estan todavia insuficientemente exploradas.
