OBJECTIVE: This study investigates the association between depressive symptoms and multisite pain and health-related quality of life and work ability in currently employed health care workers with recurrent low back pain (LBP). METHODS: Multisite pain, depressive symptoms, quality of life, and work ability were assessed by validated questionnaires. A generalized linear model was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: Notably, 28% of female health care workers with LBP had at least moderate levels of depressive symptoms. This chapter uses the theoretical framework of sense of belonging to explore how eldercare workers from Finnish service housing units for older people describe the use of digital devices and applications in their work and the work practices that relate to their sense of belonging. Suomen sekä muiden EU-maiden haasteena on ikääntyvä väestökanta ja sen mukanaan tuomat vanhusten hoivaan liittyvät kysymykset. Eliniän nousu on johtanut ikärakenteen muuttumiseen; työikäisen väestön määrä vähenee ja ikäihmisten määrä kasvaa. Sosiaa-lialan ammattialaisena olen seurannut aiheesta käytyä keskustelua eri maissa. Suomessa tämän haasteen ratkaisemiseen liittyviä keskusteluita käydään paljolti taloudellisesta näkö-kulmasta. Huomioni kiinnittyi Tanskaan, jossa vanhustenhoivaan vaaditaan elämänlaatua.
