In Sicily transhumance is still today - even if resized - a practice in which copious shepherds have to turn to, while in Sardinia pastoral mobility disappeared in the 1970s of the last century – however short-range movements remain still active. After outlining a brief historical framework of transhumance in the two islands, the speech would like to reflect on how the traits of history and identity of this practice are starting to change into a new cultural and economic resource, aimed at the safeguard and the valorization of an important material and immaterial heritage and at the promotion of experiential and sustainable forms of tourism.

Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää, miten alakouluikäiset oppilaat luovat merkityksiä etunimelleen ja lempinimelleen sekä rakentavat identiteettiään käsitellessään nimeään. Nimen ja identiteetin merkityksellinen yhteys on havaittu aiemmassa kirjallisuudessa; aihe on kuitenkin saanut verrattain vähän huomiota aiemmissa suomalaisissa tutkimuksissa. Izmantojot medicīnas antropoloģijas pieeju un Guda un Klainmana darbus, es pētu, kā medicīnas studenti no Vācijas kategorizē mentālas grūtības. "Mentālas grūtības" attiecas uz dažāda līmeņa pieredzēm, kuras pētījuma dalībnieki uzskatīja par nepatīkamām. Balstoties padziļinātās intervijās un līdzdalīgajā novērojumā, es parādu, kā grūtības tiek kategorizētas kā nopietnas/nekaitīgas un normālas/nenormālas. Pirmā atšķirība balstījās pašu student noteiktos konkrētos kritērijos, kamēr grūtību nosaukšana par "normālām" saistījās ar pašu p’et’ijuma dalībnieku studiju pieredzi. The study aimed at investigating how different young people going through the post-high school transition set, monitor, pursue, and renegotiate career goals in real-time and in everyday life circumstances. A theoretically driven proposition supported the conceptualization of career goals as complex dynamic systems and guided the examination and description of the moment-to-moment processes shaping the (re)construction of career goals.
