Intellectual capital reporting: A knowledge tool to coordinate a group of regional non-profit organisations
2017
Whilst many organizations worldwide have stopped disclosing Intellectual Capital (IC), to the best of our knowledge, the only longstanding NPO still measuring, managing and reporting its IC is a large Italian non-profit organization (NPO), ANPAS Piemonte. The main aim of the article is thus to investigate the reasons why ANPAS Piemonte continues to deal with IC, to examine the determinants of this choice, the costs and the benefits management gets from IC measurement, management and reporting. In other words, the paper aims to explore the intellectual capital (IC) reporting process from an internal, managerial point of view. The paper employ a case study methodology to address its aim, and …
Social entrepreneurship and Economy for the Common Good: Study of their relationship through a bibliometric analysis
2019
Being social entrepreneurship (SE) the closest to Economy for the Common Good (ECG) principles, our work proposes to analyze the contribution of ECG model to SE. It is also intended to establish the relationship that exists between both concepts. Therefore, our specific objectives are to (1) identify the specific contributions of ECG principles to SE as well as their overlaps, (2) perform a literature review to analyze and quantify the number of research papers on SE and ECG, and (3) identify the possible existing gap. Through a double methodology, we (1) determine the potential contributions of the ECG model to SE, we propose to analyze the Common Good (CG) matrix and (2) empirical analys…
The Rise of Social Media in Sport: A Bibliometric Analysis
2020
Social media has revolutionized the sports industry by changing the way athletes, coaches, clubs, federations, sport companies and other industry actors interact. Although academic interest in the emergence of social media in the context of sports has increased in recent years, these platforms have not been studied from a bibliometric viewpoint. Therefore, this study examined the scientific production of social media in sports using descriptive bibliometric software. The most prolific authors, journals, institutions, number of citations and networks of authorship are identified. From the bibliometric analysis, implications for sport managers and future research directions for social media …
Analysis of Production, Impact, and Scientific Collaboration on Difficult Airway Through the Web of Science and Scopus (1981-2013).
2017
Bibliometrics, the statistical analysis of written publications, is an increasingly popular approach to the assessment of scientific activity. Bibliometrics allows researchers to assess the impact of a field, or research area, and has been used to make decisions regarding research funding. Through bibliometric analysis, we hypothesized that a bibliometric analysis of difficult airway research would demonstrate a growth in authors and articles over time.Using the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases, we conducted a search of published manuscripts on the difficult airway from January 1981 to December 2013. After removal of duplicates, we identified 2412 articles. We then analyzed the art…

A major shift in Late Bronze Age metalwork production around 900 BC
2023
Our traditional chronology systems hardly ever reflect cultural changes accurately and may even mask real moments of discontinuity. This is particularly true for the second part of the Late Bronze Age Urnfield Period where a radical change in iconography can actually be noticed around 900 BC. Within a very short period, the famous solar bird-boat iconography, which had widely developed over centuries and given rise to the elaborate and sophisticated ornamentation known on solid hilted swords from the 11th/10th century, takes a back seat and we can see a single new symbol coming to the fore, concentrating figurative representation in form of a singular vase-shaped build (Wirth S. 2021, 652-6…

Therefore, the purpose of this study is to throw new light on this field by empirically assessing for the first time the performance and prospects of these organizations through a survey of 116 SAs.,A model based on the Business Incubators literature is built with four categories covering size, location, age and profitability variables, leading to two hypotheses to be tested empirica…
