Teachers’ pedagogical and relational identity negotiation in the Finnish CLIL context

Abstract This study explores the professional identity of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) teachers in Finnish primary education. It aims at explaining how CLIL teachers negotiate their pedagogical and relational identity, and how identity agency is exercised in negotiating a more encompassing professional identity. Thematic analysis of thirteen interviews outlines the bi-directional process of identity negotiation between personal and professional resources, and social contexts at work. The results highlight a connection between professional identity and agency, and suggest that identity negotiation is a process of working and sharing with others, but also individually.

Experimental generalized quantum suppression law in Sylvester interferometers

Photonic interference is a key quantum resource for optical quantum computation, and in particular for so-called boson sampling machines. In interferometers with certain symmetries, genuine multiphoton quantum interference effectively suppresses certain sets of events, as in the original Hong-Ou-Mandel effect. Recently, it was shown that some classical and semi-classical models could be ruled out by identifying such suppressions in Fourier interferometers. As an emerging nanotechnology, quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) has been considered an alternative to CMOS technology that suffers from problems such as leakage current. Moreover, QCA is suitable for multi-valued logic due to the simplicity of implementing fuzzy logic in a way much easier than CMOS technology. Šajā diplomdarbā tika pētīta mācību satura un valodas integrētas mācīšanās (CLIL) ietekme uz 12.klases skolēnu angļu valodas leksikas kompetences attīstību mācību priekšmetā “Politika un tiesības”. Autore uzskata, ka CLIL ir jābūt jaunās Latvijas izglītības pieejas būtiskai sastāvdaļai, jo tā nodrošina integrētāku un jēgpilnāku mācīšanos. Gadījuma izpēte tika izvēlēta kā pētniecības metode, un izpētes grupu veidoja 25 12.klases skolēni. Bieżąca polityka regionalna ma za zadanie kształtować spójność terytorialną, a jedną z jej koncepcji jest funkcjonowanie miejskich obszarów funkcjonalnych. Spójność terytorialna rozumiana jest różnorako. W niniejszym opracowaniu rozpatrywano ją jako: rozwój endogeniczny i policentryczny, wyrównywanie dysproporcji w poziomie rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego, tworzenie powiązań sieciowych oraz zapewnienie dostępności do usług (głównie wiedzy i infrastruktury).
