Aim: The aim of this article is to explore the challenges connected to the transformation and emergence of professional identity in transdisciplinary multi-agency network meetings and the use of Open Dialogue. Successful communication is vital to active aging and well-being, yet virtually all older adults find it challenging to communicate effectively in noisy environments. The resulting discomfort and frustration can prompt withdrawal or avoidance of social situations, which, in turn, can severely limit the range of activities available to older adults and lead to a less active and satisfying lifestyle, and, in some cases, depression. This study investigated the use of a playful, narrative, vignette-based method, called Story Magician’s Play Time (SMPT), in supporting children’s social-emotional reasoning and in helping children practice their social skills. Suomessa tyypin 1 diabeteksen esiintyvyys on maailman korkeinta ja monen diabeetikon verensokerit ovat vaarallisen korkeita. Hyvän hoitotasapainon saavuttamiseksi elinikäisen sairauden hoidossa tarvitaan perinteisten menetelmien lisäksi myös psykologisia interventioita. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin ryhmämuotoisen hyväksymis- ja omistautumisterapiaan pohjautuvan lyhyt intervention vaikutuksia tyypin 1 diabetesta sairastavien nuorten hoitotasapainoon sekä hyvinvointiin. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tarkastella nuorten huumeiden käytön ilmiötä. Tarkaste-lunäkökulma on narratiivinen ja tutkimusaineisto koostuu huumeita käyttävien nuorten aikuisten kertomuksista nuoruudestaan. Tutkimusaineiston olen kerännyt erään kaupungin sosiaali- ja terveysneuvonnan seitsemää asiakasta haastattelemalla. Toteutin tutkielman perehtymällä ensin teoreettiseen viitekehykseen, jonka jälkeen keräsin aineiston. Haastateltavien kertomusten perusteella pyrin vastaamaan tutkimuskysymykseeni siitä, minkälaista on alaikäisen nuoren huumeiden käyttö aikuisiän kertomuksissa.
