Institutional and Affective Practices of Domestic Violence Interventions in Social Work: Malignant Positioning of Victims

This chapter investigates the institutional and affective practices of domestic violence (DV) interventions in Finnish social work. It examines the expression of social workers’ emotions related to intervening in DV and how these expressions result in the positioning of clients. Encountering and intervening in DV is often challenging; ideological presumptions, conceptions, gender-neutral discussions and misrecognition of violence affect institutional arrangements and practices, and the ways in which professionals feel about and respond to violence. En France, face à cette situation, de plus en plus de personnes âgées font appel à des services de livraison de repas à domicile. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, vaikuttaako Nallematikka-interventio varhaisten matemaattisten taitojen kehittymiseen päiväkotiympäristössä. Lisäksi tarkoituksena oli tutkia, selittävätkö perheen sosioekonomiset tekijät muutoksia lasten matemaattisissa taidoissa. Tutkimusaineisto sisälsi Lukukäsitetestillä suoritetut alku- ja loppumittauksen sekä viivästetyn loppumittauksen. Lukukäsitetestillä mitattiin suhde- ja lukujonotaitoja. Tutkimukseen osallistui yhteensä 67 vuonna 2008 syntynyttä lasta. Tutkimuksen pääkäsitteinä ovat sosiaalipedagogiikan termi subjektius ja sosiaaliset taidot. Tutkimuskohteena oli ehkäisevään työhön käytetty pienryhmämenetelmä, joka on tarkoi-tettu tukea tarvitseville lapsille ja nuorille. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli arvioida ja pohtia pienryhmämenetelmän toimivuutta ja vaikuttavuutta lasten ja nuorten kanssa tehtävässä työssä. Tämän lisäksi tutkimuksessa on kuvattu ja tuotu esille alun perin Jyväskylässä ke-hitetty pienryhmämenetelmä.
