Sense of coherence and health among home-dwelling older people.

Sense of coherence (SOC) is important for maintaining health. The aim of this study was to investigate if the SOC experience among home-dwelling physically active older people differs from that of hospital patients with the same age and sex. Data were collected with questionnaires and structured interviews containing Antonovsky’s SOC scale in an age- and sex-matched study group (n=160). Non-parametric statistical analyses were performed. No differences were found in SOC between home-dwelling individuals and patients. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan institutionaalista moniäänisyyttä poliisin kuulustelukertomuksissa, ja fokuksessa ovat erilaiset äänet, niiden tuottamisessa käytetyt kielelliset keinot, äänten keskinäiset suhteet ja äänten funktiot teksteissä. Kuulustelun kirjaavan poliisin valinnat vaikuttavat merkittävästi eri äänten esillepääsyyn sekä äänten välisiin suhteisiin kuulusteluker tomuksessa. Background There are no national arrangements for free school meals provision in Norway despite this being an important opportunity to improve children's and adolescents' nutritional status and ultimately their physical and cognitive development. During a one academic year (2014-2015), a group of Norwegian sixth graders were served a free healthy school meal in a project called 'The School Meal Project'. The purpose of this article is to discuss questions about studying sensitive and contradictory family situations, particularly in the process of gathering qualitative data via interviews. In the article, the authors ask what types of considerations are possible when studying such issues. Tämän tutkimushankkeen päätarkoituksena oli selvittää älykellojen soveltuvuus journalismiin, sen uutena sisällönjulkaisupaikkana sekä työvälineenä. Keskeisinä tiedonhankinnan menetelminä olivat journalistisen ja tutkimuksellisen aineiston jatkuva monitorointi, asiantuntijahaastattelut (N=6) sekä älykellojen testaus koeryhmien avulla. Vähintään kuukauden mittaisen testijakson teki yhteensä yhdeksän testaajaa. Tutkimuksen keskeisenä tuloksena oli, että älykellot eivät ole ainakaan vielä vuonna 2016 nousseet uudeksi varteenotettavaksi viestinnän laitekategoriaksi eivätkä ne siten ole korvaamassa esimerkiksi älypuhelimia.
