Virtudes escolares percibidas por estudiantes y docentes ecuatorianos: diferencias según sexo, establecimiento y roles

El objetivo del estudio es evaluar la virtuosidad percibida en organizaciones escolares y las diferencias por tipo de centro educativo (fiscal, municipal); sexo (mujer, hombre) y rol (estudiantes, docentes). Se trató de un estudio instrumental basado en el análisis de la estructura factorial y la fiabilidad de un cuestionario para evaluar virtudes percibidas en escuelas (VPOE); y, de un estudio descriptivo transversal que analizó diferencias por sexo, rol y tipo de organizaciones escolares con relación a las virtudes percibidas. L'Institut Mèdic Valencià va ser l'impulsor d'una campanya de vacunació antivariòlica gratuïta en la segona meitat del segle XIX mitjançant vacuna humanitzada remesa des d'Anglaterra. Va difondre la vacuna per tota Espanya i va publicar unes acurades estadístiques de les vacunacions practicades en el Boletín del Instituto Médico Valenciano. // . El Instituto Médico Valenciano fue el impulsor de una campaña de vacunación antivariólica gratuita en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX mediante vacuna humanizada remitida desde Inglaterra. Difundió la vacuna por toda España y publicó unas cuidadosas estadísticas de las vacunaciones practicadas en el Boletín del Instituto Médico Valenciano.

Coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3) belongs to the genus Enterovirus of the family Picornaviridae and can cause acute acinar pancreatitis in adults. However, the molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis underlying CVB3-induced acute pancreatitis have remained unclear. In this study, we discovered that CVB3 capsid protein VP1 inhibited pancreatic cell proliferation and exerted strong cytopathic effects on HPAC cells. Through yeast two-hybrid, co-immunoprecipitation, and confocal microscopy, we show that Menage a trois 1 (MAT1), a subunit of the Cdk-Activating Kinase (CAK) complex involved in cell proliferation and transcription, is a novel interaction protein with CVB3 VP1. AbstractProteolytic processing of the nonstructural proteins of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) is mediated by two viral proteinases: the NS2-3 proteinase cleaving at the NS2/3 junction and the NS3 serine-type proteinase responsible for processing at the NS3/4A, NS4A/B, NS4B/5A, and NS5A/B sites. Activity of the NS3 proteinase is modulated by NS4A. In the absence of this cofactor processing at the NS3-dependent sites does not occur or, in the case of the NS5A/B junction, is poor but increased when NS4A is present. Enhancement by TNF-alpha of reactivation and replication of latent herpes simplex virus from trigeminal ganglia of mice.

The influence of tumor-necrosis-factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukine-1 (IL-1) and IL-3 on the in vitro reactivation frequency and replication rate of trigeminal ganglia of mice latently infected with herpes simplex virus (HSV) strain KOS was studied. It could be demonstrated that TNF-alpha and possibility GM-CSF, but not IL-1 and IL-3, enhanced the reactivation frequency and replication of HSV. Interferon alpha/beta (IFN alpha/beta) prevented reactivation and replication.

AbstractWe study the relationship of viscosity and weak solutions to the equation $$\begin{aligned} \smash {\partial _{t}u-\varDelta _{p}u=f(Du)}, \end{aligned}$$ ∂ t u - Δ p u = f ( D u ) , where $$p>1$$ p > 1 and $$f\in C({\mathbb {R}}^{N})$$ f ∈ C ( R N ) satisfies suitable assumptions. Our main result is that bounded viscosity supersolutions coincide with bounded lower semicontinuous weak supersolutions. Moreover, we prove the lower semicontinuity of weak supersolutions when $$p\ge 2$$ p ≥ 2 .

We study a singular or degenerate equation in non-divergence form modeled by the $p$-Laplacian, $$-|Du|^\gamma\left(\Delta u+(p-2)\Delta_\infty^N u\right)=f\ \ \ \ \text{in}\ \ \ \Omega.$$ We investigate local $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity of viscosity solutions in the full range $\gamma>-1$ and $p>1$, and provide local $W^{2,2}$ estimates in the restricted cases where $p$ is close to 2 and $\gamma$ is close to 0.
