The purpose of this paper is to show how trust as an organizational value contributes to employee competence utilization in the case of innovation capability. How Do Judgmental Overconfidence and Overoptimism Shape Innovative Activity?

Recent field evidence suggests a positive link between overconfidence and innovative activities. In this paper we argue that the connection between overconfidence and innovation is more complex than the previous literature suggests. In particular, we show theoretically and experimentally that different forms of overconfidence may have opposing effects on innovative activity. While overoptimism is positively associated with innovation, judgmental overconfidence is negatively linked to innovation. Competing Against Simulated Equilibrium Price Dispersions: An Experiment on Internet-Assisted Search Markets

In a four-treatment experiment, we test some of the hypotheses in García-Gallego et al. (2004) concerning competition among a number of firms of which some (or all) are indexed by a price-comparison engine facilitating buyers’ search process. In this paper, we isolate individual behavior from noise due to other players’ actions and learning, facing each subject with simulated rivals whose prices are extracted from mixed strategy equilibrium distributions. The innovative - creative potential of an organization is determined by the creative capacity of its members, by its managerial team competency and by certain mechanisms to sustain implementation of new ideas, as well as their transformation in competitive products and services. From the premise that knowledge-based modern organization is permanently connected to changes of business environment, the paper aims to underline the essential role of creativity and innovation in projecting and implementing organizational change programmes.
