Both the aesthetic experience of music and, especially, its development have received rather limited attention. International audience; One hundred fifty-one children and 43 adults judged which of 2 cartoon birds would be the first to arrive at a common finish line. Objects moved unidirectionally along parallel trajectories, either at the same or different speeds, and disappeared at different distances from the goal. Overall, 9-10-year-old children performed as well as adults, but 4-5- and 6-8-year-olds erred significantly more often. On trials for which distance to goal at disappearance was a valid cue, 4-5-year-olds scored 80% correct, and no differences were seen between 6-10-year-olds and adults. The thesis investigated the development of children’s global/local processing hierarchical patterns introduced by Navon (1977). The objectives were to understand more comprehensively the developmental characteristics of children’s perception through their global and local processing of hierarchical patterns, by considering the effects of age, stimuli properties, duration of exposure to the stimuli and gender in a perceptual task and a drawing task. Educational experiences and perceptions of occupational hierarchies: The case of the Norwegian working class

In this article we present the experiences of members of the Norwegian working class in the educational system and show that the findings contradict established theories in the sociology of education in a way that calls for a re-examination of the function of societal hierarchies in such studies. Secondly, we report how working-class individuals comprehend society’s valuation of their work and whether these experiences affect their own judgments and evaluations of work. The findings reveal an enlightened working class when it comes to conventional occupational hierarchies, but also show that members of the working class classify status in their own, distinctive way. In questo saggio si esamina criticamente la tradizione di ricerca del positivsmo giuridico denominata "inclusive positivism", con riferimento soprattutto al pensiero del filosofo del diritto americano Jules Coleman.Viene soprattutto focalizzata criticamente la questione del modo in cui l'inclusive positivism intende il ruolo dei giudizi di valore nell'interpretazione giuridica e nell'attività dogmatica dei giuristi. La tesi che l'autore avanza è che la presenza dei giudizi di valore è necessaria nell'attività di giudici e giuristi e attraversa anche la componente conoscitiva di tale attività.

[EN] The aim of this study is to determine the usefulness of the Management and Intervention Inventory for Young (IGI-J) in predicting the past recidivism in young offenders, and the implementation of appropriate intervention programs for that population. A retrospective study with a sample of 258 juvenile offenders who were serving a penal measure was performed. The instrument that evaluated the prediction of recidivism is the Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (Hoge and Andrews, 2002). The present article aims to show that the elicitation of intuitive literary-aesthetic sentence judgments taps into readers’ poetry-specific linguistic register, and how such judgment methods can be used to support and constrain future theory formation in experimental poetics.
