Tässä artikkelissa tarkastelemme sitä, millaisena ja miten tekoäly esitetään suomalaisessa julkisessa keskustelussa, ja ketkä tekoälystä suurelle yleisölle kertovat. Aineistona olemme käyttäneet Yleisradion verkkosivujen tekoälyä käsitteleviä artikkeleja. Tulosten perusteella tekoälystä pääsevät kertomaan useimmin talouden ja teollisuuden aloilla työskentelevät miehet. Aineistossa esiintyneet tekoälytulevaisuuskuvaukset pitäytyvät pitkälti nykyisen länsikeskeisen kapitalistisen maailmankuvan sisällä. Based on previously unknown archival materials discovered by the authors in the Lithuanian State Historical Archives in Vilnius, the author of the article is reconstructing the beginnings of the Polish theatre company “Reduta” in Vilnius and the discovery of new documents sheds new light on this story. The author attempts to reconstruct the economic and social conditions in which “Reduta” started its operation in Vilnius. The text concerns the period of 1925–1929. Design of Public Procurement Auctions: Evidence from Cleaning Contracts

We analyze a regime change from beauty contests to first-price sealed-bid and scoring auctions, using Swedish data on public procurement of cleaning services. In beauty contests, the lowest bid often lost, leaving substantial money on the table. The procurement costs were similar before and after the regime change: (i) Entry strongly decreases the procurement cost but did not change. Entry would have decreased had the municipalities not adjusted the objects of auctions. (ii) Municipalities favored in-house suppliers in the old regime, leading to more aggressive bidding by others. With favoritism reduced, these changes balanced each other out. Peer reviewed

This paper aims to investigate the descriptions of traumatic life experiences of refugees from the DDR in literature and film. This essay examines the novel Lagerfeuer (2003) of Julia Franck and the film version Westen (2013) directed by Christian Schwochow. The two East Germans artists show the existential traumas of those people who had to leave their homes from different perspectives and in different artistic genres.
