The aim of the research was to find the justifications for children’s participation used by children and workers at World Vision Finland’s programs in Sri Lanka, the childhood images of the justificationsand thefactors influencing children’s attendance to children’s clubs. Ten children and ten adults were interviewed in 2015. From the data,14 justifications for participation were found through phenomenographic data analysis. Ambos focos de atención son reconciliables cuando la mirada hacia el futuro viene exigida por las fuentes del pasado, pero a menudo se suscitan tensiones que han de resolverse con el razonamiento o la decisión.
