The high poaching rate of rhinoceros may drive these species into extinction within the coming decades. In recent decades, Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.) forests of the High Tatra Mountains have suffered unprecedented tree mortality caused by European spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus L.). Analysis of the spatiotemporal pattern of bark beetle outbreaks across the landscape in consecutive years can provide new insights into the population dynamics of tree-killing insects. A bark beetle outbreak occurred in the High Tatra Mountains after a storm damaged more than 10,000 ha of forests in 2004. While Finland and Singapore have been maintaining world digital leaders position, they demonstrate interlaced contrast: high welfare with low GDP growth in Finland and higher GDP growth with lower welfare in Singapore. Det undersöktes även ifall ungdomarnas upplevelse av psykiska besvär kan förklaras med familje-, kamrat- och klasskamratstöd samt känsla av ensamhet. Language policies have been drafted in Nordic higher education with the obvious, but unproblematised and unchallenged motivation caused by internationalisation. In this article, we analyse the various motivations for drafting language policies in Nordic higher education and the ideological implications of those motivations. We do this by approaching the question from multiple (macro, meso and micro) viewpoints, in order to make visible some of the undercurrents in higher education language policy. Tutkimuksen tavoite on avata Isänmaallisen kansanliikkeen pää-äänenkannattajan, Ajan Suunnan, lukijoilleen välittämää juutalaiskuvaa selvittämällä minkä verran ja millaisia juutalaisia käsitteleviä kirjoituksia lehdessä ilmestyi. Ajan Suunta aloitti ilmestymisensä neljällä näytenumerolla vuoden 1932 joulukuun alusta. Se jatkoi ilmestymistä kuusi kertaa viikossa ilmestyvänä iltapäivälehtenä vuoden 1937 joulukuuhun saakka, jolloin siitä tuli päivittäin ilmestyvä aamulehti. Tutkielmassa selvitetään, miten Pyhäjärven kunnassa sijainneesta Kuusenmäen ”ylhäisemmästä” kansakoulusta muotoutui uuden oppivelvollisuuslain 1921 mukainen kansakoulu. Tutkimusajanjakso käsittää vuosien 1921 – 1939 välisen ajan, koska tänä aikana tarvittavat sopeuttamistoimenpiteet tehtiin koulun toiminnassa. Tutkielmassa käytetään mikrohistoriallista tarkastelutapaa. Tutkimusaineiston intensiivisellä ja tarkalla analysoinnilla saadaan informaatiota ilmiöstä, jota tarkastellaan. Tilastotietoja analysoitaessa käytetään kvantitatiivista menetelmää. Kolmantena menetelmänä tutkimuksessa käytetään vertailua. Suomalaisen 1900-luvun alun porvarillisen naisliikkeen tavoitteena oli kasvattaa sivistyneitä, siveellisiä, taloudellisia ja ahkeria naisia. Tässä artikkelissa Arja Turunen tutkii, kuinka uudenlaisia naiskansalaisuuden ihanteita opetettiin naistenlehtien pukeutumisohjeiden kautta. Artikkelin aineistona ovat 1920- ja 1930-luvuilla Kotiliedessä, Emäntälehdessä ja Toverittaressa julkaistut pukeutumista ja muotia käsitelleet jutut.
