Management of natural resources at the regional level is a compromise between a variety of objectives and interests. At the local level, management of the forests depends upon the ownership structure, with forest owners using their forests as they see fit. Quantifying and resolving conservation conflicts in forest landscapes via multiobjective optimization

Environmental planning for of the maintenance of different conservation objectives should take into account multiple contrasting criteria based on alternative uses of the landscape. We develop new concepts and approaches to describe and measure conflicts among conservation objectives and for resolving them via multiobjective optimization. To measure conflicts we introduce a compatibility index that quantifies how much targeting a certain conservation objective affects the capacity of the landscape for providing another objective. Psiholoģijā ne tikai tiek pētīti konflikta cēloņi dažādās izlasēs un diskutēts par konfliktu risināšanas atšķirībām sievietēm un vīriešiem, bet arī liela uzmanība tiek pievērsta apmierinātībai ar attiecībām. Jau veiktie pētījumi apliecina, ka apmierinātība attiecībās ir saistīta ar konfliktu esamību un to risināšanas paņēmieniem. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate Morocco’s privatization policy based on the opinions of final-year high-school students (n = 103) that were studying in either public or private schools. This was examined using a cross-sectional study design in which a structured, Likert scale questionnaire was administered at a night school in Casablanca, Morocco, where highschool students can take extra classes in preparation for their final year exam. The results were analyzed quantitatively by comparing the group means with an independent samples ttest, using an alpha level of 0.05. What kind of conflicts and tensions do children experience with other children and adults in the family? Content analysis of 32 thematic interviews with 10- to 13-year-old children revealed that while conflicts often concern daily actions, tasks and routines, they also relate to decision-making and fair treatment or to matters threatening the child's sense of emotional security. Parental conflicts and conflicts in child–parent relationships often arouse negative emotions that lead children to suppress their agency. However, conflicts, particularly those between siblings, may also open up possibilities for negotiation and agency.
