Ceļveži tiek izskatīti kontrastīvajā un hronoloģiskajā aspektā. Pētījuma galvenais mērķis ir leksiskā materiāla analīze, ar kuras palīdzību tiek noteiktas makrovienības, kas rada neviennozīmīgo Latvijas tēlu dažādu valodu ceļvežos. 0013-8703 (Print) 1570-7458 (Online); The cuticular hydrocarbon profiles of the cockroaches Nauphoeta cinerea and Leucophaea maderae are species-specific when maintained in homospecific rearings. When individuals were reared in mixed species colonies, they initially remained in homospecific groups under different shelters. However, after 14 days they formed one heterospecific group with cuticular profiles showing characteristics of both species. When individuals were returned in monospecific rearings, their cuticular hydrocarbon profiles returned to species-specific ones within 3 weeks.

Hauptbildungsort von Kallikrein in der Niere ist das distale Tubulussystem vom juxtaglomerularen Apparat bis zu den Sammelrohren. Die Infusion von Kininen in die Nierenarterie fuhrt zu einer Zunahme des renalen Blutflusses sowie zur Diurese und Natriurese, wobei ein Teil der Wirkung der Kinine offenbar durch Prostaglandine vermittelt wird. Despite the importance of the adjuvant in the immunization process, very few adjuvants merge with the antigens in vaccines. A synthetic self-adjuvant oleic-vinyl sulfone (OVS) linked to the catalytic region of recombinant serine/threonine phosphatase 2A from the nematode Angiostrongylus costaricensis (rPP2A) was used for intranasal immunization in mice previously infected with Trichuris muris. The animal intranasal immunization with rPP2A-OVS showed a reduction of 99.01% in the number of the nematode eggs and 97.90% in adult. Sikspārņu rudens migrācijas intensitāte atkarībā no attāluma līdz jūras krastam un no meteoroloģiskajiem apstākļiem

Sikspārņu rudens migrācijas laikā vēja parkos ir novērota liela sikspārņu mirstība. Šīs migrācijas laikā liels skaits sikspārņu migrē gar jūras krastu. Lai pēc iespējas sikspārņu mirstību samazinātu, ir nepieciešams noteikt augsta riska zonas, kurās vēja parkus būvēt nedrīkst, kā arī ir svarīgi spēt paredzēt sikspārņu migrācijas intensitāti pēc meteoroloģiskajiem faktoriem. LU Bioloģijas institūta ornitoloģisko pētījumu stacijā Papē no 11. līdz 25. augustam ar automātiskiem ultraskaņas detektoriem tika ierakstīts sikspārņu nakts pārlidojumu skaits piecos dažādos attālumos no jūras krasta. 74,6 % no visiem pārlidojumiem tika novēroti trīs aktīvākajās migrācijas naktīs, un 46,3 % no visiem pā…
