Previous work has demonstrated that most strains of the human pathogen Streptococcus pyogenes bind kininogens through M protein, a fibrous surface protein and virulence determinant. Here we find that strains of several other pathogenic bacterial species, both Gram-positive and Gram-negative, isolated from patients with sepsis, also bind kininogens, especially kininogen (HK). The most pronounced interaction was seen between HK and Escherichia coli. Among clinical isolates of E. coli, the majority of the enterohaemorrhagic, enterotoxigenic, and sepsis strains, but none of the enteroinvasive and enteropathogenic strains, bound HK. Sta-rano się pokazać przemiany w zakresie definiowania rodziny, liczby zawieranych małżeństw i mo-deli funkcjonujących w tej instytucji, przemiany w prokreacji oraz alternatywne do rodziny związki. Wnioski tych analiz prowadzą do stwierdzenia, że postmodernizm wpływa na współczesną rodziną, wywołując w niej dosyć wyraźnie zaznaczające się zmiany, ale ciągle to rodzina nuklearna pozosta-je dominującą formą życia małżeńsko-rodzinnego

Medikamentu pieprasījums un lietošanas apjoms palielinās ik gadu, pieaugot populācijai, dzīves līmenim un ekonomikai, īpaši jaunattīstības valstīs, kur biežāk arī ir novērota mazāk attīstīta atkritumu saimniekošana, tai skaitā medikamentu. Medikamenti ir mikro piesārņotāji, kas nonākot vidē spēj radīt manāmas sekas. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija apskatīt medikamentu nonākšanas veidus un sekas vidē, kā arī uzzināt Latvijas patērētāju paradumus un attieksmi pret nederīgu medikamentu pareizu atbrīvošanos. Iegūtie dati liecina, ka lielākajai daļai respondentu mājsaimniecībās atrodas neizlietoti, nederīgi medikamenti un visbiežāk no tiem izvēlas atbrīvoties izmantojot sadzīves atkritumus.

Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 35 lapām. Tas satur 22 attēlus, 2 tabulas un 32 literatūras avotu atsauces. Darba mērķis ir novērtēt kā L un M fotoreceptoru absorbcijas maksimumu pozīciju vērtības ietekmē krāsu kauliņu sakārtošanas secību C, S un leņķa vērtības krāsu redzes deficītu gadījumos, izmantojot Farnsworth D15 testa matemātisko krāsu uztveres modeli. Darba ietvaros modelētas krāsu kauliņu sakārtošanas secības sniedza iespēju noskaidrot kā D15 testa kauliņi ierosina tīklenes fotoreceptorus cilvēkiem ar krāsu redzes deficītu. Tutkimukseni tehtävänä oli selvittää, miten eri alojen asiantuntijat elinikäisen oppimisen elämänkaarelta tukevat luovuutta ja innostusta heidän omissa työtehtävissään. Lisäksi tiedustelin haastateltavilta, millaisena he näkevät opettajuuden roolin nyt ja tulevaisuudessa. Haastattelututkimukseni lähestymisote oli fenomenografinen, joten tarkastelin tutkittavien käsityksiä. Haastattelin neljässä eri kaupungissa yhdeksää asiantuntijaa keväällä 2016. Heihin kuului opettajia, professoreita ja yritysjohtajia. Haastattelut suoritettiin suullisesti ja kirjallisesti sähköpostin välityksellä. Analysoin aineiston fenomenografisella analyysilla. Background and aims Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is the second most common primary liver cancer and a highly lethal malignancy. Chemotherapeutic options are limited, but a considerable subset of patients harbors genetic lesions for which targeted agents exist. Fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 (FGFR2) fusions belong to the most frequent and therapeutically relevant alterations in ICC, and the first FGFR inhibitor was recently approved for the treatment of patients with progressed, fusion-positive ICC. I will trace the metaphors of voice in the discourses of feminisms as articulated by Judith Fetterley, Kaja Silverman, Julia Kristeva, and Hélène Cixous. I will analyze the presuppositions of their vocal or sound imagery, paying special attention to the implications of the essentialism/constructivism opposition. It is not my intention to provide a comprehensive account of voice in feminisms, nor to make sweeping generalizations on the basis of a very limited corpus. International audience; Filamin A (FLNa), expressed in endocardial endothelia during fetal valve morphogenesis, is key in cardiac development. Missense mutations in FLNa cause non-syndromic mitral valve dysplasia (FLNA-MVD). Here, we aimed to reveal the currently unknown underlying molecular mechanism behind FLNA-MVD caused by the FLNa P637Q mutation. The solved crystal structure of the FLNa3-5 P637Q revealed that this mutation causes only minor structural changes close to mutation site.
