Kieliopin opettaminen on alusta alkaen ollut keskeinen osa nykyaikaista vieraiden kielten opetusta. Mielipiteitä siitä, kuinka kielioppi määritellään, kuinka sitä tulee opettaa ja onko sen opettaminen ylipäätään tarpeen, on esitetty lukemattomia. Tässä tutkielmassa on omaksuttu Thornburyn (1991:1) määritelmä kieliopista tietyn kielen erilaisten mahdollisten rakenteiden ja muotojen tutkimuksena. The article starts from a conception of language according to which the semiotic units that speakers use do not emanate from individual mental processes but from the socialization of representation instruments which, being individual elements initially, have later been involved in processes of communicative circulation. In the same way that, in each language, verbal uses are limited by a series of restrictions in the constitution of some phonic, lexical or morphosyntactic structures, there are also some other constraints that affect textual genres. Tutkimuksessa hyödynnetään metodina lähilukutekniikkaa, jossa aineisto analysoidaan keskittyen transgressiivisiin teemoihin sekä narratiivisiin rakenteisiin. The paper examines aspectual and selectional properties of Old Catalan prefixed verbs in comparison with their non prefixed counterparts. We ground our analysis on Talmy’s (1985, 2000) notion of verb framed and satellite framed languages and on Mateu (2002, 2003) and Mateu & Rigau (2002) theory of lexical structure, and we argue that telicity and other aspectual properties associated with prefixed verbs are by effects derived from the semantic value of the prefix together with the lexical structure they give rise to. MTOR inhibitor-based combination therapies for pancreatic cancer

Background: Although the mechanistic target of rapamycin (MTOR) kinase, included in the mTORC1 and mTORC2 signalling hubs, has been demonstrated to be active in a significant fraction of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the value of the kinase as a therapeutic target needs further clarification. Methods: We used Mtor floxed mice to analyse the function of the kinase in context of the pancreas at the genetic level.
