Our paper discusses the option of three EU countries – United Kingdom, Sweden and Denmark – of not joining the EMU and analyses whether besides their subjective option of staying out of the EMU there is also an economic reason behind this decision, based on existing literature in the field. The three “EMU-outsiders” are different in terms of economic power, financial market attributes, monetary policy rules employed and political decisions. In each case, the choice to remain outside EMU was based on economic reasons, as well as political and sometimes nationalist arguments. The present article focuses on the reconstruction of the cosmological models from the school of Kashmir (fourth century), as they are registered in the compendium of sarvāstivāda-vaibhāsika school, attributed to the Buddhist monk Vasubandhu and titled Abhidharmakośabhāsya. The articles identifies the different textual sources of the cosmological models and describes its general structure, based in three realms (sensible, subtle matter and immaterial). It analyzes the relevant characteristics of the concepts of Space and Time, discovering and unusual model in comparison with the contemporaries cosmologies from the Mediterranean.

The 200-nautical-mile Exclusive Economic Zone created by the 1982 UNCLOS regime generates conflict in areas where the distance between opposite national coasts is less than 400 nautical miles and in marginal seas surrounded by many states and with islands. This is the case of the marginal seas in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. In particular, the EEZ regime has proved troublesome in the South China Sea, leading some authors to ask whether it has actually strengthened or undermined peace and cooperation. To what extent is the likelihood that a Technology-Based Firm – TBF – turns into a Technology-Based and Highly Innovative Firm – TB&InnF – is influenced by technical capabilities or managerial capabilities and education background? We analyse this question using a novel data panel assembled for 326 Spanish industrial firms, along the period 1998–2014. Our findings show the probability of becoming a TB&InnF growths when firms are able to accumulate a high endowment of knowledge and technological capabilities, and a managerial team with experience, a strong power position and previous technical or managerial education background. Visualizing linguistic variation in a network of Latin documents and scribes

This article explores whether and how network visualization can benefit philological and historical-linguistic study. This is illustrated with a corpus-based investigation of scribes' language use in a lemmatized and morphologically annotated corpus of documentary Latin (Late Latin Charter Treebank, LLCT2). We extract four continuous linguistic variables from LLCT2 and utilize a gradient colour palette in Gephi to visualize the variable values as node attributes in a trimodal network which consists of the documents, writers, and writing locations underlying the same corpus. This article offers a short analysis of the different meanings and connotations of the three names given in 1525 by Toledo's Holy Office to the new Cas lian here cs-the « alumbrados », also called « dexados » and « perfects ». In order to be exhaustive, this taxinomic study of Castilian illuminism adds the name « recogidos » to this list, since those spirituals are often mentioned in the testimonies included in the trials.
