Background: Working life today is characterized by acceleration and intensification due to social, and particularly technological, acceleration affecting the whole of society. These phenomena also affect working life by intensifying job demands, possibly imposing new job stressors on the workforce. Työn piirteet ja hyvinvointi yliopistotyössä: vapaaehtoisten ja vastentahtoisten määräaikaisten ja vakinaisten työntekijöiden vertailu

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää miten vakinaiset, vapaaehtoisesti määräaikaiset ja vastentahtoisesti määräaikaiset työntekijät eroavat toisistaan erilaisissa taustatekijöissä, työn psykososiaalisissa piirteissä (vaatimukset ja voimavarat) ja hyvinvoinnissa (työhyvinvointi ja yleinen koettu henkinen hyvinvointi). Tutkimus kohdistui kahden suomalaisen monialaisen yliopiston tutkimus- ja opetushenkilöstöön. Aineistossa vakinaisia työntekijöitä oli 40 % (n = 408), vastentahtoisesti määräaikaisia 49 % (n = 495) ja vapaaehtoisesti määräaikaisia 11 % (n = 111). As part of research aimed at establishing the profiles of students of new entry at ISFODOSU, we include vocational variables to determine the most important motivations for the choice of career of the participants, as well as for the election of this university and opinion on its technological resources. The sample (No. 744) was chosen at random, proportionally among the Enclosures, Careers and Sex strata. First, we validate the FIT-Choice scale with two confirmatory factorial analyses. The 12 motivational factors showed a good level of fit (RMSEA .062; CFI .92 and TLI .901, as well as the 6 perceptual factors (RMSEA .062; CFI .944 and TLI .924). This article and the four videos linked to this article are a result of the earliest experiences in establishing an international research collaboration among seven countries in the Project Social and emotional experiences in transition through the early years. We draw attention to the complex issues surrounding the many processes, beliefs and attitudes about infants in research that permeated our processes of gaining ethical approval for the international study and which posed many challenges for our project.
