As part of research aimed at establishing the profiles of students of new entry at ISFODOSU, we include vocational variables to determine the most important motivations for the choice of career of the participants, as well as for the election of this university and opinion on its technological resources. The sample (No. 744) was chosen at random, proportionally among the Enclosures, Careers and Sex strata. First, we validate the FIT-Choice scale with two confirmatory factorial analyses. Este estudio analizo las propiedades psicometricas de la Escala de Percepcion de Promocion del Bienestar para Entrenadores (EPPBE), compuesta por 6 dimensiones: Autocontrol, castigo, apoyo social, apoyo a la autonomia, apoyo a la competencia y apoyo a la afiliacion. Se administro la escala a 506 entrenadores y se realizo un analisis factorial confirmatorio. La validez nomologica se analizo a traves de las relaciones de las variables con la satisfaccion de necesidades basicas y la motivacion autodeterminada. The aim of this study was to examine how men who have perpetrated violence toward their partners and participated in batterer group talked about being a father and how they perceived their own fatherhood. The discussion in the group was analyzed qualitatively by using the methods of content analysis. In traditional fatherhood, they talked about avoidant, passiveness, distant, indifference, and authoritative controlling ways of acting. These men also created an image of themselves as active and caring fathers, thus including empathy and nurture in the concept of fatherhood. Many animals have evolved remarkable strategies to avoid predation. In diurnal, toxic harlequin toads (Atelopus) from the Amazon basin, we find a unique colour signal. Some Atelopus populations have striking red soles of the hands and feet, visible only when walking. When stationary, the toads are hard to detect despite their yellow-black dorsal coloration. Consequently, they switch between high and low conspicuousness. Interestingly, some populations lack the extra colour display of the soles. Invertebrate biomass is considered one of the main factors driving processes in ecosystems. It can be measured directly, primarily by weighing individuals, but more often indirect estimators are used. We developed two indirect and non-destructive approaches to estimate biomass of small invertebrates in a simple manner. The first one was based on clay modelling and the second one was based on image analysis implemented with open-source software. Stable isotope mixing models in aquatic ecology require δ13C values for food web end members such as phytoplankton and bacteria, however it is rarely possible to measure these directly. Hence there is a critical need for improved methods for estimating the δ13C ratios of phytoplankton, bacteria and terrestrial detritus from within mixed seston.
