Vēstures un angļu valodas integrēta apguve 9.klasē

2019

Skolēni mācās angļu valodu ne tikai angļu valodas stundās, bet viņi izmanto an…

Explaining Individual and Collective Programming Students’ Behavior by Interpreting a Black-Box Predictive Model

2021

Predicting student performance as early as possible and analysing to which extent initial student behaviour could lead to failure or success is critical in introductory programming (CS1) courses, for allowing prompt intervention in a move towards alleviating their high failure rate. However, in CS1 performance prediction, there is a serious lack of studies that interpret the predictive model’s decisions. In this sense, we designed a long-term study using very fine-grained log-data of 2056 students, collected from the first two weeks of CS1 courses. We extract features that measure how students deal with deadlines, how they fix errors, how much time they spend programming, and so forth. Subs…

NAVIGAZIONE WEB CONDIVISA ED E-CONFERENCE COME STRUMENTI DI APPRENDIMENTO

2009

A Statistical Study to Analyze the Impact of External Weather Change on Chronic Pulmonary Infection in South Norway with Machine Learning Algorithms

2021

In this paper, we analyzed the holistic impact of external weather on chronic pulmonary infection in the Agder region with traditional machine learning algorithms. Millions of people are diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Our study is dedicated in the Agder region, the Southern part of Norway. Norway has four seasons – winter (December-February), late winter/spring (March-May), Summer (June-August), and Autumn (September-November) in a year with average annual temperature approx. 7.5 °C | 45.5 °F and an annual rainfall of 1260 mm or 49.6 in. in Kristiansand. As predicted by the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2016, Norway suffered from 8% mortality due to c(1)h…

Deep Neural Networks for Prediction of Exacerbations of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

2018

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients need help in daily life situations as they are burdened with frequent risks of acute exacerbation and loss of control. An automated monitoring system could lead to timely treatments and avoid unnecessary hospital (re-)admissions and home visits by doctors or nurses. Therefore we present a Deep Artificial Neural Networks for approach prediction of exacerbations, particularly Feed-Forward Neural Networks (FFNN) for classification of COPD patients category and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), for early prediction of COPD exacerbations and subsequent triage. The FFNN and LSTM models are trained on data collected from remote monitoring of 94 pa…

The effect of social information from live demonstrators compared to video playback on blue tit foraging decisions.

2019

Video playback provides a promising method to study social interactions, and the number of video playback experiments has been growing in recent years. Using videos has advantages over live individuals as it increases the repeatability of demonstrations, and enables researchers to manipulate the features of the presented stimulus. How observers respond to video playback might, however, differ among species, and the efficacy of video playback should be validated by investigating if individuals’ responses to videos are comparable to their responses to live demonstrators. Here, we use a novel foraging task to compare blue tits’ (Cyanistes caeruleus) responses to social information from a live …

Homework Stress and Learning Disability: The Role of Parental Shame, Guilt, and Need Frustration

2022

Using a cross-sectional design, this study examined the relationships between parental guilt, shame, need frustration, and homework stress in students with learning disabilities (LD) and typically developing students (TD) and their parents. One hundred and eight parent-child dyads (54 LD, 54 TD) completed questionnaires to assess homework stress, parental need frustration, guilt, and shame. Parents of students with LD reported more stress, need frustration, shame, and guilt than parents of TD students. For the LD group, shame mediated the association between parental need frustration and parental and child stress whereas guilt mediated the association between parental need frustration and p…

Nessuno resta indietro: La Bellezza del Service Learning

2021
