Purpose. Intralesional therapy is a less invasive method for the treatment of Peyronie's disease.  To test the technical feasibility of electromagnetic computed tomography (CT) + ultrasound fusion (US)-guided bone biopsy of spinal lesions. This retrospective study included 14 patients referred for biopsy of spinal bone lesions without cortical disruption or intervertebral disc infection. Lesions were located in the sacrum (n = 4), lumbar vertebral body (n = 7) or intervertebral disc (n = 3). Fusion technology matched a pre-procedure CT scan with real-time ultrasound. Protection against Leishmania major is dependent on IL-12 release from L. major-infected dendritic cells (DC) that induce IFN-gamma-producing Th1/Tc1 cells. IL-27, a novel member of the IL-12 family, is a heterodimer composed of p28 and IL-12p40-related Epstein-Barr virus-induced gene 3 (EBI3), and was shown to be produced by DC. In this study, we utilized EBI3-deficient mice to investigate the role of IL-27 in leishmaniasis using physiological low-dose infections that mimic natural transmissions. Pigmented Squamous Cell Carcinoma In Situ: Report of a New Case and Review of the Literature

Pigmented squamous cell carcinoma in situ (PSCCIS) is very rare, being clinically described as a pigmented lesion with histological characteristics of an in-situ carcinoma presenting pigmentation within neoplastic cells. A 50-year-old Afro-descendant man came for clinical evaluation of a painful black and red lesion located on the right aspect of the oropharyngeal isthmus. After incisional biopsy, the resulting sample was described as a pigmented squamous cell carcinoma in situ, a diagnosis further confirmed by immunohistochemical analysis. Indocyanine Green Angiography in Congenital Hypertrophy of the Retinal Pigment Epithelium

PURPOSE To report a case of congenital hypertrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium followed up for 7 years showing features not previously reported. METHODS A complete fundus examination including fluorescein angiography was performed at first examination and at follow-up. RESULTS The area of congenital hypertrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium presented morphologic changes, showing enlargement of the lesion on one side associated with partial regression on another side.
