La postfazione verte principalmente sulla ricezione della poesia di Corbière, a partire dall'antologia dei poeti maledetti di Verlaine, fino al ridimensionamento ad opera di Gide. Verlaine ne fa un poeta-funzione, una sorta di cerniera storica, finanche ironica, nei confronti di Baudelaire. A partire da questo dato, si analizzano certi prestiti e riscritture da Baudelaire, motivando le scelte espressive e l'atteggiamento teatrale. di Corbière. Ulteriori osservazioni vertono sulla traduzione di Gian Piero Bona e su alcune soluzioni adottate.

First of all, the article proposes to divide Primo Levi’s poetic work in two main time periods: 1) from the beginnings (1945) to the publication of the first poetry book (The Bremen Beer-Hall, All’insegna del pesce d’oro, 1975); 2) from 1975 to the death of the author, occurred in 1987. This distinction mirrors the concept of a poetic itinerary which seems to be a heterogeneous studio of topics and languages originally developed, if compared with Levi’s prose. Therefore, a textual analysis of some significant poems from the first time period is proposed. The essay, after an overview of the theories of the dream expressed in medical texts and philosophical reflection in the Greek world, analyzes the references to the dream present in the Galenic corpus, with specific reference to the presence of this motif in the context of polemics with exponents of other medical schools. Hence on one side it is possible find Galen taking up a typically Platonic metaphorical use of onar and oneirottein to indicate, pejoratively, confused thought not founded on logos. On the other side, some passages in the corpus polemize – in the strict sense of the word – with incorrect use of the dream by physicians who were adversaries, Empirics and Methodics above all.…

Nell'impianto argomentativo e dialettico del De clementia il princeps senecano si autorealizza, con esplicito riferimento alla teoria platonica, nell'euboulia, la capacità di prendere giuste decisioni politiche (Prot. 318e), nella phronesis (resp. 433b-d) e nell'episteme philakike (resp. 428a), la scienza della difesa e protezione della città. Si tratta di virtù che rendono l'uomo degno di esercitare il potere politico e hanno come fine il bene e l'utile di tutti i sudditi e sulle quali si incentra, nell'opera, il messaggio parentetico del filosofo all'alunno Nerone.
